This guide is dedicated to Skoda Yeti owners especially for Singapore owners. Why? Because the Skoda dealer in Singapore brought in the bare equipped Skoda Yeti 1.2 TSI..see below for the good and bad The Good.. 1) Panoramic roof 2) Climatronic air-condition with dual controls 3) Leather seats (Its locally fitted by jackspeed leather) The Bad.. 1) 1.2TSI versions With no Maxi-dot instrument, 2010 model and below does not even come with tripmeter crapp! 2) Blues radio its pathetic 3) No MFSW The most yearned upgrades for Singapore owners..Well its more leaned towards my own wish list.. 1) A Columbus Radio Navigation System (Upgraded-See Below) 2) A Maxi-dot Instrument ClusterAKA Highline in VW context. (Upgraded-See below) 3) A MFSW with paddle shifters (Upgraded- See Below) 4) Bluetooth phone set up (Upgraded- See link) 5)TPMS-Tyre Pressure Monitoring System ( Free!at least for my ABS control module but with limitation- See below) 6) Rear-view camera set up .Next in line Columbus Radio Navigation System Where to buy? Try your luck on ebay.Seems like lithuania sellers are offering the best price, I am using part no. 3T0-035-680B with SW 3814, so far so good, as stable as a rock. Follow this link to research on types of RNS 510/Columbus system hardware part and SW versions. For Installation Procedures Follow this link for pdf installation guide- contributed by Rocc (Jamaica). I did not archive the pictures narrated procedures for Yeti Columbus replacement, the link provided above is meant for Tiguan 2009 but rest assured, Yeti is much easier to work on- Just use credit card sized card for prying off the fascia panel(Dont use your credit card! if you are hoping to swipe your card..) , armed with torx screw-driver and you are ready to work on it. Maxi-dot Instrument Cluster Where to buy? go to this link, seller is from Lipany, Czech Republic. Look under Yeti, and do note there are 2 versions of Maxidot- 1 for petrol head and 1 for diesel head. You need to mail him for shipment quotations and he prefers bank transfers. Its safe, i have transacted with him twice.he is reliable. How to Retrofit? You cant do it yourself, take it to the dealership. Starting April 1, 2005, VW/Audi dealerships switched to the new GEKO system, whereby their factory scan tools dial up the factory while connected to a car. Under this system, the technician no longer sees the SKC at all and you will need to bring your vehicle into the dealer to have Immobilizer work performed.

Note: dealership might not have the know-how to set up maxi-dot to communicate with columbus/RNS 510, so additional VCDS coding might be needed depending on the proficiency of dealershipbut rest assured they can do a good job on instrument cluster replacement. Multi Function Steering Wheel(MFSW) with Paddle Shifters Where to buy? go to this link same link posted aboveSelection of Steering wheel is no brainer but its the parts that are needed to complement MFSW, so what is needed? First- you dont need a new air-bag, it can be re-used so dont waste your money buying a steering wheel with airbag. You will need a MFSW wiring harness if your current steering wheel is not a MFSW. Use the single purple connector version. See pic below.
You will mostly likely be required to replace the steering control module if your current set up does not support MFSW. Its prudent to verify your exisiting control module version before comitting a buy. Use vagcom or ross techs vcds to scan your cars obd port, you will be able to see control module versions. Slip ring type starts with 5k0-953-569# Skoda Yeti 2011 without mfsw is using 1k0-953-569 (mine) Midline version(Does not support MFSW), see pic below.

Cartridge type starts with1K0-953-549## Skoda yeti 2010 without mfsw is using 1K0-953-549 CP(fellow Yeti) Midline version(Does not support MSFW), see pic below.
Refer to ross tech steering control module to see compatibilty link. As long its a high line version, it supports MFSW however do not buy one with cruise control limitation. See note in compatiblity lists. Once your part is ready, refer to this link for installation procedures if you feel like doing yourself or get a established workshop to do the replacement and make sure they have vagcom and specializes in VAG cars. I wont want to risk blowing up the air-bag so better leave it to the professionals. ; TPMS Coding If your Yeti is not fitted with TPMS from factory, dont fred, you can set it up via VAGCOM if your ABS module supports it. Im not entirely sure which module supports it but i can be sure that mine supports it. Heres my ABS module part no: 1K0 907 379 AT Component :ESP MK60EC1 H30 0105 Get your VCDS and here you go! Go to ABS module -03, then to coding-07, after which it will show up the long coding helper. Next, go to byte 16, tick bit 2-TPMS installed. Verify if the TPMS is working by going to measuring block, measure block-16 It should show Tire pressure Not Oper. N/A- Measure 230-234, it should show Tire pressure calibrated, monitored, alarm delay, enabledetc. As long you can get values out of the group, its working. Its not over yet, you need to set up the TPMS warning to light up on your instrument cluster if Tyre pressure is not normal. Go to Instrument-17, then to coding-07, then go to byte 2, tick bit 0- TPMS installed. Now, its free TPMS for you with 1 limitation. You need to reset it via VCDS if the TPMS warning occurs. How? Go to ABS module-03, Basic setting and put 042 and go, this will reset the TPMS.
