STUDENT AFFAIRS EXPERIENCE: First Generation Spiritual Development Intern Sep. 2013- present Campus Ministry, Seattle University (SU) Seattle, WA Conduct interviews and collect survey results about the offices first -generation college student population as part of an independent study project. Facilitate privilege and identity dialogues with 40 student leaders as an advisor of New Student Retreat. Research peer institutions that are also assessing this population in a spiritual context. Student Activities Graduate Coordinator Sep. 2012- present Student Center, Seattle University (SU) Seattle, WA Supervise, train, hire, and evaluate 14 members of the Campus Assistance Center (CAC) staff. Manage a $17,000 budget for all CAC ticket sales, locker check-out, and bus pass sale revenue. Inform 17 elected representatives of the Student Government of Seattle University (SGSU) on how student issues relate to institutional issues. Allocate money to an average of 15 clubs as part of Multicultural Programming Fund committee. Evaluate the effectiveness of learning outcomes for customer service, leadership, problem solving, and communication through likert scales and individual meetings with staff and representatives. Cornish Connection Orientation Graduate Coordinator Jun. 2013- Oct. 2013 Student Life, Cornish College of the Arts Seattle, WA Implemented, planned, and served as on-site support at Cornish Connection, a three day, required orientation for 200 incoming freshman and 80 transfer students with two days of optional peer engagement. Facilitated and implemented a two day training for 16 orientation leaders with team building, diversity, promoting safety in Seattle, creating inclusive orientation groups, and campus information. Constructed a proposal for leader training to be three days instead of two to expand upon components of trust, diversity, and self-authorship among the team. Collaborated with Campus Security and Disability Services to establish an Orientation accessibility plan. Summer Bridge Graduate Intern for Student Support Services Mar. 2013- Jun. 2013 TRIO, Highline Community College (HCC) Des Moines, WA Assisted in the restructuring of the Summer Bridge program, an intensive 3 week course focused on resumes, personal statements, financial literacy, and transfer options. Prepared an online toolkit of reflective and technical writing assignments, multicultural competency building, and identity development exercises. Constructed a proposal for a Bridge model that would be offered for 10 weeks as a supplemental writing course with the same focus on resumes, personal statements, financial literacy, and transfer options. Researched best practice initiatives similar to HCCs model.

Led, hired, trained, and evaluated a 12 person council and planned two semester retreats and 30 meetings. Managed the spending of a $70,000 budget and participated in the allocation process. Reviewed 10 years of retention statistics for federal reporting to help with grant renewal. Participated in two search committees for the Administrative Assistant and TRIO Director. Maintained information on 120 students to input into databases used on Emporia State campus. SPECIAL PROJECTS: MAGIS: A Student Development Journal (SU) - Seattle, WA May 2013- present Co-editor-in-chief of an entirely student-run, academic journal that showcases scholarly and reflective writing by Student Development students, alumni, faculty, and student affairs professionals. Seattle University Youth Initiative Multicultural Competence Workshop - Seattle, WA Feb. 2013 Graduate presenter to undergraduate volunteers: Spirituality and Meaning Making. Developed and implemented an awareness workshop on how to facilitate spiritual dialogue.
