Alcatel 4039/4038/4068 Keys Description

* Flashing Green: Incoming Call


* Flashing Orange : Alarm
Mute Key/Inter phony
Hands free Key
Navigator Alphabet Keypad
Programmable Soft Keys
Indicator Light
Help Key
Redial Key
Message Key
End Key
Welcome Screen
MENU : Contains all functions and applications accessible via the keys associated
with the words on the screen.
PERSO : Contains all call line keys and programmable call keys.
INFO : Contains information on the telephone and the status of its functions: name,
telephone number, number of messages, activation of transfer, appointment
reminder.
Ways to make a call
1.Lift the receiver
And Dial the desired Number
From Personal Page Press Desired key (Scroll down using the Navigator keys)
OR
Calling a second person during a call
During a call, you can call a second person (consultation call)
1. Press programmed key
The first call is placed on hold.
New Call
2.Dial required number of
second call
Press the Enquiry off again to come back to original party
Enquiry or
Call Transfer
During a call, you may transfer the call to another number.
2.Dial the no. of second party.
You may hang up if your correspondent has answered or not.
1.Press the New Call or key while on a call.
3.Either put the handset back or Use End Key to disconnect

Three Way Conference
1.Dial the First Party number.
3.Dial the no. of second party and
wait for second party to answer.
The same key to cancel the conference call and stay with your first party.

establish three way conference.

To call the last no.
Press the redial key
OR
Select from the Redial List the no. you want to redial
You can get a list of last 8 redialed numbers by long pressing Redial Key

Voice Message Customization
Voice Mail for the First time Users
You have to record your Name, Greeting and Change your default password.
1. Dial #43 or Message Key and Press OK Listen to
the greeting message.
2. Enter your default password (Same as Extension Number)
3. Dial the new password (XXXX)
4. Record your name and personal greeting message as per
system Instruction.
Voice Message Service
If the Message key flashes, a new voice message or a new text
Message has been received.
Press the message key and follow the information displayed on the screen
Using Call by name
Enter the first 2 letters of the name.
Press the Enter Key.

Use the navigator to display

Make the Call
Group Call Pickup / Reviewing missed Calls
Pickup calls for other extensions within your group.
Press the PICK UP key

Dial #55 <Ext. No.>
Reviewing Missed calls
1. Lift handset
2. Press MESSAGE and scroll through missed calls

Padlock your Telephone
Press Padlock Programmed Key or
Dial #45
Padlock Password modification
1.Dial #405 and enter the existing password.
2.Dial new 4 digit password twice and replace the handset.
LOCK
Unlock Your extension
1. Press Padlock Programmed key followed
by 4 digit password.
Access the Menu Page
Select the free key to store the number
Access the Perso Page

Select Speed Dial
Enter Name and Number
e.g. 9+050XXX
