Reset switch to factory defaults
If Im not using brand new switch I normally like to reset it back to factory defaults
before doing anything!

=>9?8B folder!
Now I have directory '8;>>@89>>2+oftware2=>9?8B with 8;>>@89>>2(elNotes2=>9?82
9CC>;4>8!#df %(elease Notes&! I also have =@>9@?8!swi file and this !swi file is the
firmware which you are going to use to u#date your switch!

I normally use Dicrosoft Hy#erterminal when Im doing this because its #retty easy to
use 6modem to u#load files with hy#erterminal

=>9?8!Ai# #ackage and e6tracted it to '8;>>@89>>2+oftware2=>9?8B!

/fter hitting E-nter start u#loading using hy#erterminal from menu1 'Transfer) <F
'+end =ileG) then click '7rowseG) and find that =@>9@?8!swi file and choose
Hmodem %Not '4I Hmodem)& #rotocol! Then hit '+end) button! *hen everything is
done you should see this kind of message and after that switch should boot1

This configuration was done with HP ProCurve 898: %J:K4;/& but most of this command
should work with other #rocurve switches too!
