The Editors Column
Dear Student,
Welcome to the September edition of the Law
Bulletin.
With floods wreaking havoc in Jammu and Kashmir,
the Indian armed forces continued playing saviours,
even as Hafiz Saeed tweeted that this was a
conspiracy of the Indian government. The rescue
operations took a blow as separatists began hurling
stones at the army, something that the Modi
government has chosen not to pay attention to.
Sania Mirza clinched the US Open mixed doubles
tourney, dedicating the win to Telangana. Speaking of
Telangana, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao drew
a lot of flak for his controversial statement over
burying two media channels for their insulting the
Telangana assembly, its MLAs, and Telangana's self-
respect.
Kabaddi took the centre stage as the inaugural edition
of the Pro Kabaddi League kick started in great
fashion, with a lot of viewers glued to their TV sets
following the tourney. The inaugural edition was
clinched by Abhishek Bachchans Jaipur Pink Panthers.
Happy Reading !

The Scoop Of The Month
Natures fury scars J&K valley
Jammu and Kashmir is battling one of the worst
floods in decades with rivers in the region in spate
due to days of incessant rain. Over 250 people
have died and thousands are stranded across the
state, including Srinagar.
The Army, IAF and NDRF are doing a massive
round-the-clock rescue and relief operation, with
86 aircrafts and 30,000 troops.
As the armed forces continue to carry out massive
relief operations in flood ravaged Jammu and
Kashmir, some separatists, who fear alienation,
are making continuous efforts to disrupt relief
operations in the Valley. Although this is a serious
issue, it has been sidelined for the time being.
An Indian Air Force helicopter, which was involved
in rescue operations in Srinagar was pelted with
stones as it was carrying out rescue mission.
However, the NDA government led by Prime
Minister Narendra Modi has decided to ignore
such attempts by separatist elements to disrupt
relief operations in the Kashmir Valley
