Leon and Kathy Homan and Dustin and Jill Huddlestun visited the Kehlsteinhaus in
Germany last year. The German translation of Kehlsteinhaus is Eagles Nest. This location
is perched high in the mountains and is reached by bus and an elevator ride through the
mountain. The Kehlsteinhaus was given as a 50th birthday present to Adolf Hitler to serve
as a retreat and a place for him to entertain visiting dignitaries. Today, tourists from around
the world come to view the structure and take in the breathtaking views. The Penny Saver
was invited along on their vacation, traveling 1,834 meters up! The Homans will find their
