Release Notes For REFCON 6
1
23. January 2013
These update notes include the changes for 6.7.0.
Important update notes:
If you are upgrading from REFCON 6.6.1, please ignore these update notes.
All Refcon Monitor applications on client machines older than 6.6.1 have to be manually uninstalled.
If you do not have Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 installed on your client machines already, you will need
administrative rights when installing the updated Refcon Monitor client for the first time.
This is because part of the process is installing Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 (if not there already).
Installing Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 unfortunately requires administrative rights.
If the REFCON user on the client machine does not have administrative rights at that time, (which is very
likely!), the installation process will fail.
To remedy the situation you can then either:
* Ask your system administrator to temporarily give you administrative rights (while you install the client),
or
* Ask your system administrator to install Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 on your machine beforehand (you
will then not need administrative rights for the update process).
