OUR BADGE
We are craftsmen.
We pay attention to details. We forgo quantity for quality, knowing
that the product we build is no better than the hands that create it.
GRADING LEATHER
The only way to ensure the quality of a Danner
boot is to ensure the quality of the materials we
use. Thats why every hide of leather is graded
through a series of six tests which check for
strength, flexibility, durability and more.
LEATHER CUTTING
Every hide of leather is unique, as is our tradition
of cutting each hide by hand. It is the only way to
ensure that the best part of each hide is used.
VIBRAM OUTSOLES
The mark of a true craftsman comes from
developing product that, year after year, stands
up to the test. And this is the very reason that
Danner is proud to develop outsole designs with
Vibram, because year after year their outsoles
stand up to the test.
GORE-TEX LINERS
In 1979, Danner became the first boot maker to

use GORE-TEX liners. We consider this setting
standards, not just meeting them.
HAND CRAFTING
There are more efficient ways to manufacture a
boot; to cut corners, to streamline the process, to
produce more for less. But there is only one way
to craft a boot with the fit, comfort and durability
of a Danner, and that's by hand.
DESIGN CONSTRUCTION
Product design is a vast collection of intricate
details, from the boot last that it's built on to the
stitching that holds it together. And to a Danner
boot, these are the details that set it apart.
RECRAFTING
A man and his boots can go a long way. And
since many Danner boots can be recrafted by
replacing the outsole, reworking the leather
and restitching the seams, a man with a pair of
Danner boots can go even farther.

MILITARY
Danners TFX-8 platform system is a revolutionary evolution of

the patented Danner TERRA FORCE platform. Understanding
the need for balance between agility and stability, we
constructed a figure 8 stitchdown construction pattern
stitching the platform directly to the upper in the lateral toe
and medial heel zones. This figure 8 construction design
allows for stability and added durability where traversing and
edging matter most. On the opposite sides, we then were
able to minimize materials in order to maximize lightweight
athletic performance completing the perfect balance between
lightweight performance in an extremely stable platform.

DYNAMIC RESPONSE SYSTEM

Developed for the most rugged high altitude conditions,
Danners Dynamic Response platform system is engineered
to provide the protection, the response, the rigidity and the
support needed when battling ridge line conditions of rock,
jagged debris, packed snow and serious ice. The boot rigidity
and support comes from a full length lasting board that runs the
length of the foot. Following this, a Pebax framework spans the
platform to offer springboard return in the toe and heel while
providing protection against cold conditions and rough terrain.
A polyurethane heel plate smooths the transition between the
heel and toe while providing abrasion resistance in the primary
impact zones of the foot. Finally a dual-density polyurethane
midsole ensures the durability and superior shock absorption
expected in a rugged Danner platform system.

Danners patent-pending Vertical Insertion Arrestor (VIA)

technology was initially developed for high performance footwear
in a fast roping situation. Responding to the need for abrasion
resistance and control in the arch of the foot, we partnered
with Vibram to develop a dual-density system which features
a Vibram V4 highly abrasion resistant compound in the arch
of foot for extreme durability and superior inner arch grip and
control.

Integral to the Danner technology family, our unique

Stitchdown construction provides a wider platform for
increased stability. This construction design begins with the
upper being shaped and conformed to the last, then flared
out and cemented to the midsole. The upper and midsole
are then stitched together with heavy, interlocking thread to
create an even stronger more durable attachment. Finally,
the outsole is cemented to the midsole/upper unit, making
Danners Stichdown construction one of the longest lasting
most durable and stable platform constructions in the footwear
industry. And to add even more life to it, any Danner boot that
