Introduction
105574-SPC-E-0010 Rev 0
Specification for Prefabricated
Electrical and Control & Instrumentation Building
Turkish Petroleum Overseas Company (TPOC), Kuwait Energy Company (KEC) and
Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS) have signed an initial agreement with the Iraqi Oil
Ministry for the Mansuriya Field Development Project. The development plan is to
achieve 100 MMSCFD of dry gas production no later than May 2018 in Phase 1 and
to increase the production capacity to 320 MMSCFD as a part of Phase 2. The
scope of this project is to develop the field for Phase 1 for the full design life of the
project with considerations for future expansion to Phase 2 capacity.
The Mansuriya gas field is located in Diyala governorate approximately 45 km north
of Baquba city in Iraq. This location is about 100 km north-east Baghdad and southwest of Hamrin Lake. The location of the field is provided in Figure 1.1.
Figure 1.1 Mansuriya Field Location
The wellstream production is sour (contains approximately 2.5 mol% H2S and 2.5
mol% CO2) and will require acid gas treatment. The gas will be treated and exported
via pipeline to the new build power station at Mansuriya.
