Ellen has been able to engage students with an

effective use of her voice and body language when
delivering teaching and learning activities. Ellen
worked hard to make the learning intention clear to
students, as well as the teaching and learning
activities that would be used. I encourage Ellen to
continue to explore success criteria with students
and reflect back on how well the learning intention
was achieved.

Ellen was open to the use of observation and video

to consider the strengths and challenges in her
practice and accepted feedback from mentor
teachers, taking on board any suggestions for
improvement. She engaged in teaching and
learning discussion with staff to explore how
student learning could be improved.
Ellen asked questions about curriculum,
assessment and reporting at our school,
demonstrating an interest in teaching and how
things function at our school at the big picture
level.
Ellen participated and contributed to Professional
Learning Team meetings where we were reviewing
current curriculum and aligning it with the new
Victorian curriculum.
