AFS Grid Pricing
AFS Grid Pricing
The AFS-specific pricing is based on the standard condition technique and has been enhanced to cover
the special requirements of the textile and footwear industry. For example, you can group grid values and
create condition records according to these groups. To do this, you can use AFS-specific condition types.
Based on the R/3 condition technique the following illustration shows which factors influence the AFS
pricing in the AFS sales and distribution processing
02
: Price determination at grid value group level
03
: Factor pricing
04
: Two-date pricing
The price determination indicator is used for AFS-specific condition types in the pricing procedure.
Condition types
There are predefined AFS-specific condition types available that facilitate grid value-dependent or datedependent pricing.

If you create new condition types for your specific requirements, these condition types are first created in
the SD standard Customizing. If you want the newly defined condition types or existing conditions types to
be grid value-dependent (for example VPRS condition type (cost)) or date-dependent, you must flag
them accordingly in AFS Customizing.
Pricing procedure
You can use the pricing procedure
J_3A01 for AFS pricing. It contains the AFS condition types. To determine the AFS-specific pricing
procedure you can use the customer pricing procedure J in the customer master.
Grid value control data
If you want to define prices at grid value group level, you must assign price groups to the material master
using grid control data
Condition type
J3AP is provided as the standard sales price. This standard sales price is the base price of an AFS
material and can be created in different combinations. There are basically three types of pricing:
Grid value-independent price
Grid value-dependent price
Grid value group-dependent price
Prerequisites
Corresponding to the desired pricing (grid value-independent, grid value-dependent, or grid value groupdependent), the pricing indicator in the material master (AFS Sales view) must be chosen so that the
correct condition record is set in the sales order.

Pricing Indicator
00 - All grid values have the same
price
01 - Different prices per grid value
02 - Pricing at grid value group level
In grid value group-dependent pricing grid value groups must be assigned to the AFS material using the
grid control data.
You enter the pricing indicator in the material master (AFS Sales view) according to on your desired
pricing, so that the customer order receives the correct condition record.

03 - Factor pricing
For size-group dependent pricing you must assign size groups to the AFS material in the matrix control
data.
Features
The factor price (condition type
J3AF) is a percentage of the AFS standard sales price (condition type J3AP).
Two-Date Pricing
Prerequisites
According to the pricing you have chosen, you must select the pricing indicator in the material master
(AFS Sales view) so that the correct condition record is set in the sales order.

Pricing
Two-date pricing is based on grid value groups. You must assign these grid value groups to the AFS
material by means of the grid control data.
Features.
In two-date pricing with (condition type J3A2) the determination of the sales price takes place based on
two time frames. Usually the time of the incoming order and the expected (or actual) delivery date
determine the two time frames. The basic idea behind two-date pricing is to provide long time periods
between the incoming order and delivery date with affordable sales prices. In contrast, the customers
request for receiving the delivery on very short notice would result in a higher sales price. The greater
planning security would be rewarded in this case with more affordable prices. Two-date pricing is rulesbased and can be correspondingly adapted to the individual requirements. When creating condition
record for two-date pricing, an AFS rule indicator is used. This indicator and a defined form routine carry
out the requested check of the date intervals
