Let us start the first step Kapalabhati. Active exhalation and passive
inhalation above 60 strokes per minute. One minute start.....calming down ,
allow your mind to settle down in the state of kevala kumbhaka. Feel the
deep inner quitetude. As you settel down in the state of natural cessation of
breath. Wait until the breath comes back......(to normal).

Observe the mind settling down into calmness. The next step in preparation
where we make the mind slow down further by Nadishuddhi pranayama.
Continue to sit with the spine erect. Bring the hands to nasagra
mudra.Practice 3 rounds of Nadishuddhi. Exhale throught left nostril .slow
continious smooth exhalation . Inhale through left feel the deep slow motion
of the air, exhale right.... inhale right ....exhale throught the left nostril
continue for three rounds. Feel the changing effect of this inhalation.As you
inhale Pure air entering and energises the body of the respective side;
exhalation cleanse the whole body as you breath out the impure air; continue
until you complete three rounds of nadishuddhi. Deep slow exhalation ,
exhalation becomes longer and longer than inhalation, deep intrernal
awarness and calm state of the mind is attained. Allow the mind to sink down
into the inner state of shanti and bliss.

Continue with the next pranayama,which is the cooling pranayama or


'Sadanta pranayama' .start inhaling throught the crevesis of the teeth; exhale
through both the nostrils. Feel the cooling effect as you breath in through the
crevesis , second round again a slow continious smooth inhalation followed
by complete slow exhalation through both nostrils .
Now in the third round of sadanta pranayama feel the cooling effect
spreading to the entire body exhale through both the nostrils empty your sets
into the vishala space all around stop.... calmdown.... wait for a few seconds.

Now move to the next step in the preparation of bhramari prnayama. Take a
deep inhalation through the nose and exhale making a low pitched humming
sound of a female honeybee m...... second round...... this time feel the
vibration of the humming spreading to the entire body . Inhale comfortably
through both nostrils.

Third round...three dimensional awarness of the vibrations in the entire body


right upto the toes and fingers inhale.....M....... STOP. Be calm and relaxed.

The next steo is dharana open your eyes and start looking at the beautiful
picture of om . Desha bhanditvam dharana concentrate on the area of the om
the borders of the om the depth of the om the beautiful picture.. na
kinchidapi chintayet no other thoughts in the mind.concentrate donot blink
your eyes. Dharana on the om picture . Now gently close your eyes continue
to remember the picture of omkar.let the mind be fixed to the picture.hold on
to the picture as long as you can without any distractions. Open your eyes
once again look at the beautiful picture of omkar concentrate. Hold on to the
zone of omkar desa bhandhitvam dharana.close your eyes oce again and
continue to remember the picture. The same colour shape brightness. Let it
stick on to the min. let us now move on to the next step that is Dhyana or
meditation.

Pratyaya ekatanata dhyanam

effortless dwelling on a single thought is dhyana. The pratyaya here is


internal chanting of om . Let us go on chantiong om in the mind.start om japa
go on chanting om in your mind.one after the other. Breath in om kar breath
out omkar. Om while you are breathing in, om while you are breathing in and
om while you are breathing out.

Let the om flow like a stream of oil as it flows down from a vessel 'Taila
Dharavat' the mind continiously dwelling on the om , no other thoughts in
the mind.go on continious chanting om slower and slower.slowdown your
chanting calm down your mind become one with the slow chanting of omkar
as the mind sinks down into deeper and deeper quitetude the om become
very very slow now start perceving the gaps between two omkar one slow
omkar merging into scilence dwell in that deep inner silence.

Before the next omkar starts continue to dwell in that deep bhava
atmasamastanam manah kruthva, na kinchidapi chintayet, become
stabilised in your own self which is nothing but deep silence . Beautiful state
of shanti, bliss. Which is the source of all strength energy creativity and
happiness. Let us chant om from the depth of our inner ananda sagara
om.......

om purna madh purnamidam purnat purnamudatchate


purnasya purnamadaya purna mevava sisyate.

Om sarve bhavanthu sukhinah sarve santhu niramaya


sarve bhadrani pasyanthu ma kaschit dukha bhag bhavet.

Om shanti shanti shantihi.....
