Learning Objectives Through collaborative learning, students will understand the


literary terms, and comprehension questions that they will be
given in test form
Through the use of a software game, students will answer the
questions that will help them prepare for their final book test on
the novel that we have spent the past month and a half reading

Context of Lesson This lesson is to help prepare students for their final book quiz that will
be held later this week. This study session will allow students to work
collaboratively and to help each other create meaning and build off of
each others ideas and understanding of the novel.

The level of efficiency and the level of understanding will be evaluated


through a kahoot game at the end of the study session in which the
different lit circles will battle it out via a Rumble Fish trivia game that
has been created to cater to the exam questions.

Differentiation This lesson is differentiated through the handout sheet for students. This
lesson is also differentiated for different types of learners through
collaborative learning and group work. This will allow students to learn
off of each other and to help each other. Also, the Kahoot game in the
end is to create an informal learning environment in which students can
see how ready they are for their test.

Time Process

3 minutes Greetings and I will greet my students as I do every day

20 minutes Set Induction Students will have 15 minutes of silent reading + Reading
(Hook) / Log, which we do each class.
Introduction
50 minutes Lesson Students will go into their literature circles and will
Development discuss and review the book using an outline.
Students will have about 30 minutes to do this.

We will play a game of kahoot for the remainder of
the period, which will help students think about the
text.
Evaluation This is a formative evaluation in which students
will study and I will assess their understanding
based on their participation and answers during the
game. Their summative assessment will be the
actual test
2 minutes Closing I will tell my students to study and remind them of
their test
