14 Feb - It was revealed that actor-director Herminio "Butch" Bautista has passed away.

As reported on InterAksyon, the news was shared by the current Quezon City Public Affairs
Information and Services Office chief Ares Gutierrez, who stated that Bautista passed away at
the Philippine Heart Center on 12 February at 7.55pm.

The actor, father to actors Herbert, Hero, and Harlene Bautista, started his career in 1956 through
FPJ's comedy-action film, "Lo' Waist Gang", and continue to portray roles in movies such as
"Bakasyon Grande", "Lutong Makaw", "Apat na Pulubi", and "Bagets".

He also directed his own movies, with the last one being the 1975 film, "Subok na Matatag".

He later joined politics and became a councilor of Quezon City.

He was 82.
