One of Best Movies in 2012: ARGO

Argo is a thriller movie in 2012 that was directed by his main cast, he is Ben Affleck.
Although a thriller, you will not find shootout and act of attacking each other of both sides
which are characteristics of a thriller, because this movie tells about the effort of a CIA agent
to rescue six escaped American from Iran. For me, Argo is good movie because it tells the
exciting story and suspenseful. Those are well packed. In the beginning of movie, the
audience will be anxious when Iranians were demonstrating and then came into the American
embassy. All people in that place were caught except six people who escape and hide in
Canadian embassy for some days. It became a problem and made CIA send its agent, Tony
Mendez, to rescue six escaped American.

If you are Tony Mendez, maybe you will be very confused and say like, Their lives in my
hand. I like this character because he looks calm but actually worry. He is a person who
gave an idea to make a fake movie and most of CIA were agree. Then he cooperated with his
friends to make a fake movie titled Argo. All fake informations were given, including fake
names, occupation, and their past. In the movie, when he was in Iran, seems like there are so
many threat surrounding him. I like this part because it make us tense and wonder that Tony's
mission will success or not.

The best part for me is when Tony and six people were in the third check point in airport that
they called as a trap. It was manned by the revolutionary guard, most of them were educated
in the US and Europe and all of them were looking for Americans. And like we can guess,
that Tony and six people were detained by the guards. During that, the guards asked
continuously, whereas the plane would take off a few minutes longer. This part make me
curious, energic, thrill also tense at the same time. To prove that Tony and six people were
film crew, the guard was calling the film studio and he got the answers is true. Then the
guards allow them to get on the plane. When the plane is going to take off, the guards know
the reality, but its too late because the plane is already taken off..

Over all, Argo is one of best movies in 2012. For 120 minutes, you will watch the movie that
full of anxiety and tension without any violent action. Not surprisingly, Argo received seven
nominations for the 85th Academy Awards and won three, for Best Adapted Screenplay, Best
Film Editing and Best Picture.
