    Ans: JEE Main Computer Based Exam is one which is conducted using the
    Local Area Network (LAN) to make it safe, secure and un-interrupted.

    Q: What are the advantages in opting for JEE Main Computer Based
    Examination?
    Ans: The candidates opting for Computer Based Examination will have the
    following advantages:
    a) The candidate can review or re-answer any question at any point of
    time during the examination.
    b) The candidate can change the option of the answer during the exam
    duration and it is one of the most important features of computer based ex-
    amination.
    c) Candidates also have the option to mark any answer for review at
    later stage during the examination.
    d) There will be a panel on computer screen showing all the question
    numbers in different colour scheme which will indicate which are the ques-
    tions answered, left unanswered and marked for review.
    e) Candidate gets the flexibility in choosing the exam date of his/her

    Q: Could anyone share when is the entrance exam conducted and when
    are the application available?
    Ans: JEE Main is generally conducted in the first and the second week of
    April every year, while the applications are available from first week of De-
    cember to second week of January.

    Q: Is JEE Main Computer Based Examination based on Internet?


    Ans: No, its not based on Internet.

    Q: For an applicant, when is the ideal time to select the date of JEE
    Main computer based examination?
    Ans: A candidate can select the date of JEE Main computer based examina-
    tion while filling the JEE Main Application Form, after paying the fee. In case,
    a candidate does not select the date for JEE Main computer based examina-
    tion, he/she will be allotted the date as per the availability in that city.

    Q: When is a candidate supposed to report at JEE Main exam centre?


    Ans: All candidates must reach the exam centre 30 minutes before the exam
    time.

    Q: Is it necessary for a candidate to have computer knowledge in order

    Ans: Except how to use a computer mouse, the candidate need not to know

    Q: How secured is JEE Main computer based examination?


    Ans: It is very secure with zero error possibility as human intervention is
    minimal.

    Q: Could you suggest, how can one practice for JEE Main Computer
    Based Examination?
    Ans: Candidates can practice for JEE Main Computer Based Examination

    Q: Will there be a question booklet like in JEE Main offline examina-


    tion?
    Ans: In JEE Main Computer Based Examination, the questions will appear
    on computer screen along with the answer options. Instructions page will
    also be displayed before the actual test begins. The time of reading of instruc-
    tions will not be part of examination duration.

    Q: Will a Candidate get the question paper of JEE Main computer based
    examination as he/she gets in Pen and Paper based exam?
    Ans: Yes, the question paper along with the options marked will be mailed
    to each and every candidate after the exam schedule is over.

    Q: In case of any problem in computer, etc, will there be somebody to


    assist in JEE Main Computer Based Examination?
    Ans: Yes, there will be qualified IT professionals available for your assis-
    tance.

    Q: How will a candidate answer a question in the JEE Main Computer


    Based examination?
    Ans: There are four options for each question. The candidate has to click
    on one of the options using computer mouse which can be reviewed or re-
    answered anytime during the examination.
