1. General Assembly Drawing. This includes orthographic drawings of assembled products, parts lists,
and related data needed in manufacturing process.
2. Exploded Pictorial Assembly Drawing. It is the most useful in assembling various components. This
is usually drawn in a pictorial form with an axis line showing the sequence of assembly.
3. Layout Assembly Drawing. Its shows rough preliminary design ideas sometimes in a sketch form. It
shows overall size, form, location, and relationship of only major components. This drawing shows the
amount of clearances required to operate and service the unit. This drawing is applicable in electrical,
air-duct, and other connections layout.
Design Assembly Drawing. It is a refined version of layout assembly drawings with more accurate
and refined dimensions, line work and manufacturing data.
4. Working Assembly Drawing. It is a fully dimensioned and noted drawing that is used directly in the
manufacturing process. This combines the features of detail drawings with assembly drawings.
5. Pictorial Assembly Drawing. It is a substitute for multiview assembly drawing. It is a sectional view
designed to show the interior structure and relationship of static and moving parts, and components. It
is drawn in exploded view form to show the relationship of parts before assembly.
