BACKGROUND
THEME
In line with the primary duty of Centre for Language Development UIN Syarif Hidayatullah
Jakarta i.e. to provide services on foreign language instruction and assessment, this
international conference themes Language Teaching and Assessment for the 21st Century
Learning: Current Trends and Issue.
SCOPE
The paper to be presented in this conference will discuss the follwoing topics:

The conference will be held for 3 (three) days from 29 31 August 2017. The whole series of
conference activities will take place in the campuses of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Jl.
Ir. H. Juanda No. 95 Ciputat, Tangerang Selatan.
This international conference will invite several international caliber speakers in the field of
foreign language teaching and testing. The target speakers who will be invited are:

In addition, the conference invites academics, practitioners and observers in the field of
foreign language teaching and assessment both from within and outside the country to
attend and share their knowledge and research results/findings.
Invitation for Call for Papers will be distributed through various communication media such
as official invitation letters and email to universities and to the language lecturers, flyers in
social media, etc. The deadline of abstract submission is set in the draft as follows:

As for prospective speakers are to submit abstracts through the following procedures:
Accepted abstracts will be reviewed through the committee with a peer-review procedure by
which the committee will invite the participation of paper writer for reviewing or selecting
abstracts that go into the committee table. Each author will be asked to select a maximum of
five (5) abstracts. There is no obligation for the writer to meet the demand of the committee
to be an abstract reviewer but each participating writer name will be recorded in the
conference program book as a form of respect.
Two weeks after being accepted, the abstract will be sent back to the writer following the
review result of the selection team. The selection team can decide whether the abstract is
accepted, accepted with suggestions for improvements, or rejected. Each abstract writer is
given three (3) months to submit his/her full papers (full paper) to be presented and
published in the conference proceeding.
