Assignment: Employee Engagement and Satisfaction With Reference To Case of Asian Paints
Employee satisfaction or job satisfaction is, quite simply, how content or satisfied
employees are with their jobs. Employee satisfaction is typically measured using an
employee satisfaction survey. These surveys address topics such as compensation,
workload, perceptions of management, flexibility, teamwork, resources, etc. These
things are all important to companies who want to keep their employees happy and
reduce turnover, but employee satisfaction is only a part of the overall solution. In
fact, for some organizations, satisfied employees are people the organization might
be better off without.
In case of Asian Paints, what is needed is the employee engagement. As the more
the employees are engaged the more they will yield productivity and the more they
feel integrated and satisfied with their job. As working in their teams they will
project more team spirit and emotional connection of which lower employees
criticize the upper management. There will be more motivation and coordination for
the Rewards and Recognition. When the employees are engaged , there will be no
lack of initiatives and professional growth among lower employees. When the
employees are engaged , there will be more effective communication between
lower and higher management employees as it will shorten the bridge between
them. Consequently it will make employees more satisfied with their performance
management system as in this case of Asian Paints.
