2500 kg/m3 0.85 m3 100 kg/m3

This document summarizes the key considerations for analyzing the lifting beam requirements of a precast concrete unit: 1. It calculates the weight of the precast unit based on its volume and material densities, totaling 2,199.60 kg. 2. It determines the formwork adhesion (Fa), which is the additional force needed to overcome suction between the unit and forms. For common items it is 1,057.50 kg but special units may require double this. 3. It notes that dynamic lifting forces also need to be accounted for, as these depend on the lifting equipment used according to standard DIN 15018 classifications.

Lifing Beam Analysis

1. Weight of Precast Unit / Item

BJ Beton = 2500 kg/m3

Volume Beton = 0.85 m3
Rasio = 100 kg/m3

Berat Besi = 84.60 kg

Berat Beton = 2,115.00 kg
Berat Item = 2,199.60 kg

2. Formwork Adhesion

a) For Common Item Like faade Beam and Column

Formwork Adhesion (Fa) =qxa

a = 10.58 m2
qa = 10.58 kN
qa = 1,057.50 kg

b) Special Case Item like Double T Slabs, Ribbed element, Coffered Elements

Fa = 2,199.60 kg x 2
Fa = 4,399.20 kg

Fa Used = 1,057.50 kg

3. Dynamic Factor
When the movement of the precast unit is performed by lifting gear, dynamic forces that de
lifting gear used, appear. The lifting classes are described in DIN 15018.

Common Concrete Unit

a = contact area between mould and concrete unit

q = formwork adhesion factor
q = 1 kN/m2 (for oiled steel mould)
q = 2 kN/m2 (for smooth timber/wood mould )
q = 3 kN/m2 (for rough timber/wood mould )
