    NPT-1030 Overview

    The NPT-1030 platform is housed in a 243 mm deep, 440 mm wide, and 44.4 mm high equipment cage with all
    interfaces accessible from the front of the unit.

    The platform consists of the following parts:


    Two DC power-supply module slots or one AC power-supply module slot
    One MCP slot + NVM

    Note: The MCP slot can be equipped with the MCP30B and an NVM (CF).

    Two XIO30 card slots


    One fan unit slot
    Three traffic cards slots (Tslots)

    The following figure identifies the slot arrangement in the NPT-1030 platform.

    The following table lists the modules that can be configured in each NPT-1030 slot.

    All cards support live insertion. The NPT-1030 platform provides full 1+1 redundancy in power feeding, cross
    connections, and the TMU, as well as 1:N redundancy in the fans. Failure of the MCP30B does not affect any existing
    traffic on the platform.

    All cards are connected using a backplane that supports one traffic connector for the connection between the NPT-1030
    and the EXT-2U.

    The NPT-1030 can be installed in 2,200 mm or 2,600 mm ETSI racks or in 19 racks.
