Responsibilities:
Network Management:
1) With support from outside source, develops and maintains a business recovery plan
2) With support from outside source, ensures that all master files, tables and system
parameters are maintained and up to date
3) With support from outside source, perform basic network functions
4) With support from outside source, perform system maintenance tasks
5) With support from outside source, perform basic Local Area Network functions
6) With support from outside source, perform basic Server functions
Hardware Management:
1) Researches and recommends to CEO the procurement of new hardware
2) Responsible to arrange set up of new computers
3) Responsible to arrange for repair of computer equipment
Software Management:
1) Researches and recommends to CEO procurement of new software
2) Responsible to arrange installation and configuration of new software.
Vendor Management:
1) Negotiates all IT acquisition contracts with involvement of other leadership members when
appropriate
2) Reviews all hardware, software and system acquisition and maintenance contracts with
involvement of other leadership members when appropriate
3) Manages relationships with vendors for sales, service and support in regards to IT
4) Acts as the “help desk”/triage person to document system errors or defect and communicate
to vendor
5) Maintains contact with IT suppliers and maintains knowledge of current technology,
equipments, prices and terms of agreement
Technology Planning
1) Responsible for planning, development, evaluation, coordination and management of
information and technology systems for the organization
2) In conjunction with other leadership members, makes decisions about IS and technology
infrastructure within approved budgets
3) Prioritizes IT projects
4) Develops and monitors the annual technology plan
