Abstract: This study aims to improve students' learning motivation on the subjects
Productive Clothing material subject matter cutting (kebaya test) through the application
of learning model Student Facilitator And Explaining on students class XII SMK Negeri
3 Tebing Tinggi T.A 2017/2018. The subjects were all 25 students. The results obtained
during the observation showed an increase in cycle I, meeting I obtained data that 44% of
students who have learning motivation is very low. Meeting II obtained data that 64% of
students who have low learning motivation. In the second cycle of meeting I obtained a
change of data that is 80% of students have high learning motivation, meeting II obtained
data that 92% of students whose learning motivation is very high. From this action
research can be concluded that by using study model of Student Facilitator And
Explaining on Productive Course of Clothing can improve student's learning motivation.
Based on the above, the Student Facilitataor and Explaining learning model should be
used by teachers as an alternative teacher in improving students' learning motivation on
Productive Clothing subjects, as well as on other subjects.
Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada mata
pelajaran Produktif Busana materi pokok memotong bahan (uji coba kebaya) melalui
penerapan model pembelajaran Student Facilitator and Explaining pada siswa kelas XII
Tata Busana SMK Negeri 3 Tebing Tinggi T.A 2017/2018. Subjek penelitian adalah
seluruh siswa yang berjumlah 25 siswa. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh selama
pengamatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pada siklus I, pertemuan I diperoleh data
bahwa 44% siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar tergolong sangat rendah. Pertemuan II
diperoleh data bahwa 64% siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar tergolong rendah. Pada
siklus II pertemuan I diperoleh perubahan data yaitu 80% siswa memiliki motivasi belajar
yang tergolong tinggi, pertemuan II diperoleh data bahwa 92% siswa yang motivasi
belajarnya tergolong sangat tinggi. Dari penelitian tindakan ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa
dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Student Facilitator and Explaining pada mata
pelajaran Produktif Busana dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Berdasarkan hal
tersebut, sebaiknya model pembelajaran Student Facilitataor and Explaining digunakan
guru sebagai salah satu alternatif guru dalam upaya meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa
pada mata pelajaran Produktif Busana, maupun pada mata pelajaran lainnya.
