    TO: All Employees

    FROM: Carol Smith / Human Resources

    SUBJECT: Cancellation of July 4th Picnic

    DATE: May 27th, 1986

    It is with great regret that HR announces that our July 4th Picnic at
    Central Park will not be taking place this year. All of us at Liberty
    Savings & Loan Association have many fond memories of previous picnics
    and we will miss not being able to celebrate Independence Day with our
    friends and colleagues. Unfortunately, due to the current
    reorganization, John and the other senior management reconcile this
    event with company budgets.

    We understand that the picnic was a company favorite, especially given


    our tradition of catering Rodney’s Barbecue. Management has decided
    that the employee of the month for July will get to take 5 of their
    colleagues to Rodney’s for a celebration - keep those sales up and
    that will be you! We are also already planning our office Christmas
    party, and we at HR know that your hard work will allow us to have a
    real celebration! If we hit our quarterly target, John has said that
    he will make room in the budget for an open bar.

    We at LSLA have immense faith that management will lead us through


    these tough times.
