A1 The present calculation (Tsummer=7.20 m moulded) shall be confirmed by the complete Record Of Condition Of
Assignment to be duly filled by RINA surveyor. A preliminary load line marks assignment shall be issued by RINA
H.O. once a dimensional report (first two pages of Sblint7 form to be filled by RINA surveyor) confirms the dimensions
assumed in the present calculation. According to such an assignment the marks shall be welded.
Moreover please be informed that the Load Line assignment based on the results of the present calculation shall be
confirmed by the approval of the Final Stability Documentation.

CSST 3232 - LAYOUT OF FORECASTLE VENTILATION - 65402 - BACH DANG SHIPBUILDING INDUSTRY

B1 Electrical equipment installed within paint store are to be of safe type certified. The minimum requiremets shall be
explosion group IIB and temperature class T3. Cables of armoured type or installed in metallic conduits are to be
used.
Relevant certificate are to be send for information and handed to the RINA attending surveyor on site.

CSST 3233 - ENGINE ROOM VENTILATION - 65402 - BACH DANG SHIPBUILDING INDUSTRY CORPORATION

B2 Nitrogen generator arrangement is to be in compliance with RINA Rules (2007), Pt C, Ch 4 , Sec 1, Para 10. In
particular as per Para 10.3.2 e) an idependent mechanical extraction ventilation system providing 6 air change per
hour is to be provided.
B3 Balancing duct not forming part of ducting system are not allowed. See also remark B1.
C1 it is understood that engine room workshop is categorised as machinery space of category A. Otherwise a ventilation
system independent from that of engine room is to be provided.

CSST 3369 - ARRANGEMENT OF ENGINE ROOM VENTILATION - 65402 - BACH DANG SHIPBUILDING INDUSTRY
CORPORATION (VINASHIN-BACH DANG)

B1 Where a thin plated duct with a free cross-sectional area exceeding 0.075 m2 passes through "A" class bulkheads or
decks, the opening shall be lined with a steel sheet sleeve having a thickness of at least 3 mm and a length of at least
900 mm and fitted with fire damper.
When passing through bulkheads, sleeve length shall be divided preferably into 450 mm on each side of the
bulkhead. These ducts, or sleeves lining such ducts, shall be provided with fire insulation. The insulation shall have at
least the same fire integrity as the bulkhead or deck through which the duct passes.
The fire damper shall operate automatically, but shall also be capable of being closed manually from both sides of the
bulkhead or deck.
B2 Unless as permitted by Reg. II-2/9.4.2.3 of SOLAS'74, as amended, ventilation balance openings, not forming part of
a ducting system, are not allowed. Remark valid for all similar cases.
C1 Fire dampers are to be fire tested according to the Fire Test Procedure Code.

B1 During test on board, it is to be tested each single failure on active components of the Lipstronic 7000
(communication failure, feedback failure...rpm, clutch, pitch... - and power failure included) showing that the system is
self check monitoring, giving an alarm in manned position. Moreover it is to be tested that the design of the Engine
Remote Control System shall be such that in case of its failure an alarm will be given. The preset speed and direction
of thrust of the propeller shall be maintained until local control is in operation.
B2 It shall be possible for the safe operation of the ship to control the propulsion machineries from a local position, even
in the case of failure in any part of the automatic remote control systems.
B3 In case of failure of the communication system to the VDR, an audible and visual alarm is to be given in manned
position.
B4 RPM and PITCH indicators are to be provided close to the respective controls in the local emergency position

C1 During survey to construction and final trial at sea it shall be checked that:
-this load analysis corresponds to actual operating conditions of ship
-the total power of the main generating sets (that can be connected in parallel) with the exception of the most
powerful one, shall be sufficient to start the largest essential load when the other requested services are already
supplied
C2 When the main source of electrical power is necessary for propulsion and steering of the ship, the system shall be so
arranged that the electrical supply to equipment necessary for propulsion and steering and to ensure safety of the
ship will be maintaned of immediately restored in the case of loss of any one of the generators service.
C3 If the electrical power is necessary to restore propulsion, the capacity of the emergency source shall be sufficient to
restore the propulsion to the ship in conjunction to other machinery as appropriate, from a dead ship condition within
30 min, after blackout.

to be arrangend according to para. 2.2.11 Pt C, Ch 2, Sec 3, of RINA rules.
C7 If the main source of electrical power is necessary for propulsion of the ship, the main busbar is to be divided into at
least two parts which are normally to be connected by circuit breakers or other approved means such as circuit
breakers without tripping mechanism or disconnecting links or switches by menas of which busbars can be split
safely and easily.

switchboard or from two independent section boards.

A1 Document describing a complete is to be sent for approval:

- Recovery of blackout procedure including all the electrical-mechanical auxiliary (i.e. L.O. pumps, fuel oil pumps,
feed water pumps.. etc)
- Recovery from Dead Ship Condition, demonstrating that the machinery can be brought in to operation from the
DEAD-SHIP Condition, without external aid..
B1 Use circuit breakers, contactors and overload relays having adequate electric characteristics (in particular regarding
the C.B. making and breaking capacity, their magnetic relay setting and overload setting of the motor protective
relays) in respect of their installation point. They are to be type approved.
Please inform about manufacturer, type and electrical characteristics of the a. m. components.
B2 Sensors and controller are to be type approved type. Relevant documentation is to be available to our surveyor in
charge for testing.
B3 During F.A.T and Tests on board, are to be verified :

- If the ship is requiring the AUT-UMS or AUT-CCS additional class requirements, Shut-Down and safety functions
are to be in compliance with RINA rules, see Part.F,chap.3, sez.1 Table 18
- A failure on power supply and distribution plant (440V, 220V, 24V) is not to result in a complete loss of Boiler plant
bringing the ship in unsafe condition the vessel or causing Blackout.
- That Emergency Shutdown is to be foreseen to Stop the Boiler Systems (Burners, Circ. Pumps...) from position
located outside the Engine Room space.
- Any single failure to electronic devices dedicated to the safeties, alarms and monitoring have to generate an audible
and visual alarm in manned position "self-check monitoring"
- Manually and locally it is to be always possible to operate on the boiler ( eg: local control of dumper / steam valves /
servomotor for reg. valves¿) as per class requirements.
B4 Level indicators are to be in compliance with, Part. C, Chap. 1, Sect. 10, Par. 2.9.2 of RINA Rules.

ELET 5238 - emergency stop system cable block and connection diagram - 989684 - MARINE ENGINEERING

B1 The emergency stop for the ventilation of the machinery spaces is to be entirely separate from the emergency stop of
the ventilation system serving other spaces.
C2 The final acceptance of the emergency stop system is subject to execution with good results of the functional tests on
board at the presence of a RINA surveyor incharging of survey.
