DUTY APPLICATIONS
Converter Transformers are used for large drive applications and static voltage compensation. These
Transformers are mostly built as double – tier with two secondary or multi secondary windings. Multi
secondary windings are provided with desired phase shift to obtain 12, 24 or 36 pulse configurations.

 C SCOTT-TEE TRANSFORMER
A Scott-Tee Transformer (also called a Scott connection) is a type of circuit used
to derive two – phase electric power (2-φ, 90 degree phase rotation) from a
three phase (3-φ, 120 degree phase rotation) source, or vice-versa.
The Scott connection evenly distributes a balanced load between the phases of
the source. These are widely used for heating of Oil/ Petroleum pipe lines

Furnace Transformers need a specific design to
supply the necessary power at a low voltage.
These types of transformers are directly connected
to furnace or rectifiers. It is rigidly designed to

HERMETICALLY SEALED TRANSFORMERS

In Hermetically Sealed Transformers, the dielectric insulating fluid in the transformer tank is completely
sealed and not connected to atmospheric air. This type of transformer is used in applications where the
transformer is to be installed in harsh climatic conditions (moist, smoke, polluted, dusty environment, etc.)
or where the user prefers a low maintenance transformer. The design avoids air in the transformer tank,
thereby avoiding sludge formation and oxidation of the dielectric fluid.

VACUUM PRESSURE IMPREGNATED TRANSFORMER

Impregnation under vacuum followed by
pressure to ensure void free Impregnation is
technically known as Vacuum Pressure
Impregnation (VPI). This process uses Vacuum
and Pressure cycles for its processes.

Raychem RPG brings an innovative and closed symmetrical cage
core for its distribution transformers called the 'Deltaformer'. It is
created by winding the transformer core, instead of stacking metal
sheets, in such a way that the core becomes perfectly Hexagonal in
shape, symmetrical & completely joint free.

CAPACITY:
Production of highly complex and accurate Rectangular, Round and Hollow Busbars of Copper or
Aluminium of various sizes which come with or without sleeve.

MATERIAL:
For the manufacturing of Busbars, Electrolytic Tough Pitch
(ETP) Copper is used with the purity of 99.90% and an
Electrolytic Grade Aluminium is utilized.

APPLICATIONS:
Bus Bars applications include low and medium voltage
switchgear, bus way systems, panel boards, switchboards,
transformers and a gamut of other Electrical Equipments.

REGULATING RODS/ TERMINAL RODS/ MACHINED &

FORGED PARTS
CAPACITY:
Ability to produce High Precision Regulating Rods/ Terminal Rods/
Non-Ferrous turned and brazed components as per the customer
specifications. We also produce Moving Contacts, Fixed Contacts, LV
Terminals for CT's & PT's, Battery Terminals, Terminal Blocks, Fuse
Contacts and all types of non-ferrous components.

APPLICATIONS:
These machined/ forged parts are found in
applications such as switchboards, transformers and

CONTACT ASSEMBLY
CAPACITY:
To draw out type switchgear panel, we have developed a sliding contact type jaw assembly. Proper
contact without any undue leaking in the panel is ensured by the enhanced contact pressure and low
contact resistance.
To ensure an adequate contact pressure during the useful service life, the contact pressure is maintained
by specially designed, guided coil springs.

MATERIAL: ETP Copper.

APPLICATIONS:
The Jaw Contact Assembly finds its use in medium voltage breakers.

COPPER FLEXIBLE JUMPER

CAPACITY:
The state-of-art consolidation and the hot welding process enables the manufacture of Flexibles. To
achieve the required cross sectional area or agreed current density, multiple layers of flat braid are utilized
and assembled in a parallel or stacked format. In certain circumstances, flexible strand is a practical
alternative. Flexible jumpers upto 12000A are manufactured by Raychem.

MATERIAL: ETP Grade Copper.

APPLICATIONS:
The application of Flexible Jumpers are medium voltage
Switchgear, Switchboards, Transformers and many other
Electrical Equipments.

RISER BOARD ASSEMBLY

CAPACITY:
Risers are used as high current carrying terminals. For ready to use
Terminals on the furnace transformers, both single & double risers can be
supplied with complete fibre glass board arrangement gaskets, brass
fittings and all other accessories.

FEATURES:
 Lacquer compatible with Transformer Oil at 100ºC is used for protection having
50 microns thickness, covering all sides of the Fiber Glass Epoxy Board
 An added protection of withstanding atmospheric pollution present in chemical plants like
caustic soda is given by lacquer
 All Holes and Slots made on Fiber Wass Board are covered with 50 microns lacquer on all the sides
 All Gaskets used are of the Grade RC-70C
 All Studs, Nuts and washers used are of S.S.
 Complete assembly is supplied in heavy wooden crates and ready to use condition

TESTING: Complete Risers with Fiber Glass Epoxy Board. Assembly are tested for Leak Proof against
Transformer oil at 1000C and at a pressure of 3 kg/ sq cm.

APPLICATIONS: The Riser Board Assembly finds its application in the Furnace Transformers.
 SWITCHBOARD COMPONENTS

ISOLATOR (HT)
TYPE: SBC, 12kV, 3P, 400A

FEATURES:
 CNC Chasis single piece without welding
 Compact design
 To ensure sturdiness, negligible millivolt drop, specially designed contacts without joint (fixed and
moving) with silver plating are provided
 To perform better during short circuits, specially designed handle and contact blades are used
 Prevent malfunctioning under short circuit
 Dual guide to ensure larger life

APPLICATION:
Designed for indoor application and rated for 400A, the
12kV triple pole is a manually operated isolator. It can be
directly mounted on walls, structures, switchboards and
cable boxes.

SWITCH FUSE UNIT (LV)

TYPE: SBC, 1.1kV, 4P, 800A

FEATURES:
 All current carrying parts are silver plated
 As the 4th pole act as neutral link, no separate neutral link is required
 Quick-make, quick-break mechanism, independent of the speed of operator
 Fuse link fitment with specially designed Rosan nuts
 Better insulation protection by the Fibre glass material
 Phase barriers for additional safety
 Orientation of handle can be changed at any 4 corners and
the presence of a single piece handle design
 Reduced vibration during operation due to Rubber stopper
 Easy to connect (i.e. for Dropper arm, Flexible link)
 High current carrying capacity

APPLICATION:
The 1.1kV SFU is rated for 800A and designed for
indoor applications. It can be mounted on walls,
structures and cable boxes.
