What else can student teachers do during their school
placement?

 Assist the you in the performance of duties including those not directly involving
children e.g. display work, preparation and planning of activities, tidying up, recording
information etc.

The students well engaged with me when I clap with them they were clapping and
engaging.

 Work with small groups of children at learning centers


When I work with the groups they were listen to me more and get active to finish
what I gave them from activities and when I work in small groups I get to know the
level of the student.
 Volunteer to lead circle time activities including story reading / telling, singing, action
games
I asked for a student to role the teacher act, and the students volunteer and I choose
one of them and she start to role that she is the teacher and explain the number 16-17.
 Identify and apply the positive behavior management strategies used by their MST
when working with young children
That the students when they do something or tell an additional information the did it
and they are confident and well behaved and when someone talking of their friends
they listen to him.

 Daily implementation of at least two of the following: morning circle, teacher


led small group, full subject lesson using your MST’s lesson plans

Please be aware that your student teacher is not allowed to teach a class
alone and unsupervised. In the event, you are absent, your student
teacher will be placed with another EMT for that day.
