Learning styles catered for (✓):
This was my second observation with my MCT Ms.Nermin. For this lesson, I wanted to focus on
managing my time. That’s why I planned very careful my time and timed each activity. For the
first 10 minutes was my opening and I had my eyes on the clock so I wouldn’t be more than 10
minutes on the opening. For the opening, I had two activities we only had time for the first
activity and we didn’t use the second activity. Then for the main activity, I scaffold the students
who needed my help to answer the book question and for the students who didn’t need any help,
they answered the questions alone. Then the early finishers of the low abilities had to color the
worksheet for the number 6. For the high abilities students, they had to glue small cotton balls on
the number on the same worksheet (number 6 worksheet). Unfortunately, we didn’t have so
much time for the high-level group to glue the balls so the hall class had to color each plane a
different color and color number 6 with their favorite color. For the ending, we also didn’t have
much time to do what I planned for in the lesson plan. We only had 3 minutes, so I called the
students who I liked their work and asked them to show their classmates their work and tell me
one thing that they have learned in today’s lesson.
Ms.Nermin oral feedback made me very happy. She mentioned that she liked how I managed my
time during my lesson and she liked how I gave the students instructions to do the activities.
For the next lesson, I will try to focus on making activities that suit the student's level.
