Vibration Transmitter: HI 5701VT Series Loop-Powered

The HI 5701VT Vibration Transmitter is a loop-powered sensor that measures vibration levels and transmits a 4-20 mA signal proportional to the vibration. It has integrated sensor and electronics in a compact design. It can provide input to PLC/DCS systems for monitoring, alarming and shutdown. It also has a dynamic output to access the full vibration spectrum using additional wires and a connector.

Vibration Transmitter

HI 5701VT Series Loop-Powered

The HI 5701VT Vibration Transmitter is a loop-powered sensor that

provides a 4-20 mA signal directly proportional to the overall vibration level
of the equipment. With sensor and electronics integrated into one compact
design, this transmitter provides an easy-to-install solution with the
minimum level of wiring requirements.

Using the 4-20 mA output, the HI 5701VT can provide a direct input into
any PLC or DCS plant control system for trending, alarming and shutdown
capabilities.

The HI 5701VT also incorporates two extra wires and a connector for

How to Select

4-20 mA output proportional to 0-1 ips full scale; frequency range

is 6 - 1,000 Hz; stainless steel body, two loop-power wires for the
4-20 mA signal, two additional wires to access the vibration signal
HI 5701-VT1 for spectral analysis; wire lengths are approximately 72 inches;
mounting stud is 3/8-24 UNF; conduit thread is 1.00” NPT. Used
for typical machinery vibration monitoring applications.

HI 5701-VT2 Same as the HI 5701-VT1 except the full scale range is 0-2 ips.

HI 5701-VT3 Same as the HI 5701-VT1 except the full scale range is 0-3 ips.

Stress Energy Level Transmitter, same basic features as the HI 5701

models except the frequency range is 5,000 - 60,000 Hz, the full
HI 5703-ST scale range is 0-10 SEL, and only one pair of wires exist (for the 4-20
mA signal). Used for high frequency applications like bearing
degradation, pump cavitation and gear monitoring.
