Present Perfect.

THE PRESENT PERFECT SIMPLE

1. The present perfect simple is formed with has/have + past participle of the verb:
He has washed / I have done
2. The past participle of regular verbs is formed by adding –ed (so it is the same in the form
as the simle past): washed , stayed, carried, watched , listened, studied etc.
3. The past participle of irregular verbs all have diffirent forms and must be learned by
heart :
I have done, he has driven, I haven’t taken etc.
4. The present perfect is used for an action that happened in the past , but the time of the action is not
given : I have bought a lot of postcards.
