1. Data given below belong to a colloidal dispersion system.


i. Calculate the average diameter of particles based on “number”, “surface area” and
“volume” knowing that the total particle surface area is 2.15 x 102 µm2 and total
particle volume is 19.8 µm3. (Ans: 0.466; 0.481; 0.504 µm, respectively)
ii. State about the dispersity of this system and give your reasoning.
iii. Plot partical size distribution in both histogram and cumulative distribution forms.
