    José Regueiro Sieiro is a geophysicist born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1955. He received his B.Sc. in Geophysical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines in 1978, his M.Sc. in 1980, and his Ph.D. in Geophysics in 1984. Since 1990, he has been a Full Professor at Universidad Simón Bolivar in Venezuela where he has held various administrative and teaching roles. He currently runs his own consulting company, Geociencias Virtuales, and teaches seismic methodology courses internationally.
