Ø C-HEADER VENT VALVE SHALL GET AN OPEN OVERRIDE COMMAND WHEN C-HEADER PRESSURE EXCEEDS 700 MMWC
5. COREX CONTROL VALVE LOGIC.
Ø COREX FLOW CONTROL VALVE WILL GO FOR OUTRACK CLOSE TO SET VALUE FOR 15 SEC, IF THE CONTROL VALVE DEMAND IS MORE THAN
SET VALUE AND OTHER UNIT TRIPS WITH FLOW > 60 KNM3.

8.4 - OIL BURNER SEQUENCE.


1. ON START COMMAND FOR ANY PAIR

Ø SPARK ROD GIVES SPARK & IGNITOR CORNER VALVE OPENS, SPARK REMAINS FOR 15-SEC. VALVE OPENS
IN 6 SEC.
Ø IF IGNITOR PROVEN, ATOMISING AIR / STEAM VALVE OPENS (2-3 SEC). THEN OIL VALVE OPENS (2-3 SEC).
Ø IF SCANNER SENSES FLAME BEFORE 70 SEC, GUN STABLISES.
Ø IGNITOR STAYS FOR 70 SEC FROM INSTANT OF START COMMAND.

2. ON STOP COMMAND OR UN SUCCESSFUL START, SHUTDOWN SEQUENCE STARTS.


Ø TOTAL SHUTDOWN SEQUENCE IS 6.25 MINUTES.
Ø OIL NOZZEL VALVES CLOSED.
Ø ATOMISING NOZZLE VALVES CLOSES.
Ø IGNITOR COMES INTO SERVICE.
Ø IF IGNITOR FLAME IS SENSED, ATOMISING & SCAVENGING VALVE OPEN.
Ø IGNITOR VALVE CLOSES.

8.5 - UNIT FLAME FAILURE


1. THE PROTECTION GETS ARMED WHEN ANY OF THE FOLLOWING CONDITION PERSISTS FOR > 2 SEC.

Ø AX1OR BC OIL ELEVATION ¾ NOZZLE VALVES OPEN WITH HFO & LFO PRESSURE > 4 KSC
Ø COREX X1 (2/4) / X2 (3/4) / X3 (3/4) GAS BURNERS IN SERVICE AND COREX GAS PRESSURE > 30%

8.7 - REHEATER PROTECTION


THIS PROTECTION GETS ARMED, WHEN ANY OF THE FOLLOWING CONDITION EXISTS
Ø AX1 >/=2 (LFO) + BC >/= 2 CORNER PROVEN
Ø BC ELEVATION >/= 3 CORNERS PROVEN.
Ø AX1 >/= 3 CORNERS PROVEN.
Ø ANY FEEDER PROVEN.
Ø ANY COREX BURNER PROVEN

BOILER WILL TRIP ON THIS PROTECTION WHEN ANY OF THE FOLLOWING CONDITION PERSISTS FOR 10 SEC.
Ø GCB OPENS AND HPBP CV < 2% OPEN.
Ø BOTH LPBP CVs < 2% OPEN.
Ø BOTH LPBP STOP VALVES CLOSED.
Ø BOTH MAIN STEAM VALVES (BOILER) ARE CLOSED.
8.8 - LESS THAN FIRE BALL & LOSS OF A.C. (NOT INCLUDED AT PRESENT)
BOILER WILL TRIP ON THIS PROTECTION WHEN ALL THE FOLLOWING CONDITION PERSISTS
Ø ANY ELEVATION (AX1, BC, A, B, C, X1, X2, X3) STARTED & LOSS OF AC POWER FOR 2 SEC
