Argala

Argal means planetary / sign intervention. I consider this the largest teaching of Maharishi Parashara, without which we cannot explain the
hidden or subtle influence of the planet in the horoscope. The magnificent theory of argala stipulates the following:

 Each planet has the power to influence the affairs of any other planet or home.

So, for example, even if a planet has nothing to do with a second home through possession, aspect, connection, etc., this does not mean
that a person will not eat during the dash of the planet in question. This is exactly the case when the idea of argali comes to the rescue in
order to explain the way this planet exerts a subtle influence on the second home, as well on its ruler.

 Bodies (including planets, signs and upagrahs, etc.) located in the second, fourth and eleventh houses of any planet / sign have a
PRIMARY ARGAL (direct intervention) on these matters.
 The bodies (including planets, signs and upagrahs, etc.) located in the twelfth, tenth and third houses cause the VIRODHA ARGAL
(obstacles argale) to the bodies (planets / signs) in the second, fourth and eleventh houses respectively.

Illustration: Define Primary Argala and Virodha Argala on Lagna for a standard birth.

Figure 1: Primary argal (A) and Barrier, or Virodha argal (O) - The opposing groups of houses are marked: 2nd - 12th, 4th - 10th and 11th -
3rd.

Lagna are Pisces having Aries argal (2nd house - A2), which has an obstacle from Aquarius and the Moon (12th house - O12). More planets
show strength, hence the obstacle is stronger than argali.
The primary argal is also created by Rahu in Gemini in the fourth house (A4), which is prevented by Ketu in the tenth in Sagittarius
(O10). Both signs and planets are equally strong. However, the aspect of Jupiter on Sagittarius makes him more powerful than
Gemini. Thus, the primary malignant argala of Rahu eventually collapses because of Jupiter.

The primary argala was also created by Saturn in the eleventh house in Capricorn (A11). Since there are no planets in the sign creating
virodha argala (O3), the obstacle is much weaker than the argal, and Saturn's interference in the affairs of Lagna will prevail.

 Bodies (including planets, signs, upagrahi, etc.) located in the fifth and eighth houses from any planet / sign create a SECONDARY
ARGAL (direct intervention, but having less influence than the primary argal) on their affairs.
 The bodies (including planets, signs, upagrakhi, etc.) located in the ninth and sixth houses create VIRODHA ARGALU (destruction
of argals) on bodies (planets / signs) in the fifth and eighth houses, respectively.

Illustration: Identify the Secondary Argala and Virodha Argala on Lagna for a standard birth.

Figure 2: Secondary argala (A) and its obstacle (O).

The fifth house, the sign of Cancer with the Sun and Venus in it, is the cause of the secondary argale (A5) on the lag. She is hindered by
Scorpio (O9) in the ninth house. However, argal with two planets is stronger than an obstacle that does not contain any planet.

The secondary argal is also caused by the eighth house, Libra (A8), which is completely destroyed by the sixth house, Leo (O6) with Mercury
in it, since Leo with the planet is stronger than Libra without planets.

 A special argal is also caused by the presence of maleficks in the third house.

Earlier, we saw the third house act as a destroyer of argals in the eleventh house. However, if the third house contains destructive planets,
then they can suo moto [approx. lane: on its own initiative] to cause argala. This argala does not have any kind of intervention.

 Special argala is also caused by planets / signs in the seventh house. However, this can be reversed by the planet / sign in Lagna,
which causes virodha argala.
 Argal for Ketu is counted back . 1

1
Viparitam Ketoh (Jaymini Sutra 1.1.9)
If Ketu is in the sign for which we define argala, or if argal is defined for Ketu (spiritual purposes), then we count houses / signs in the
opposite direction.

Explanation: Determine the Tertiary Argala and Virodha Argala on Lagna for a standard birth.

In the third there is no planet, not to mention the destructive planets. A sign falling into the third house is also a favorable sign
(Taurus). Thus, a special argala (A3) is missing.

The seventh house contains Mars in Virgo, creating argala (A7), which is destroyed by the presence of Jupiter in Lagna (O1). Both signs are
equally strong in the position of the planets, but Pisces is much stronger, since Jupiter is in them in his sign. Thus, Jupiter destroys the
argali. Thus, the various effects of signs and planets on any other sign or planet can be studied.

 If both argala (intervention) and virodha (obstacle) are equally strong, Bandhana yoga (imprisonment) can manifest.

If both influences are disastrous and equal in strength, Bandhan Yoga can be very harmful or hostile as limitations after an accident (where
2nd and 12th houses are involved, showing an accident in 2nd house that is a maraca 2 and in the 12th house). It can also show an
unfavorable situation regarding education and career if the 4th and 10th houses are involved. If the planets are opposite to each other in
nature, then education may not affect the career in any way, just as a qualified doctor works as a bureaucrat. The fifth and ninth houses
involved in this yoga will show very unfavorable situations that can cause terrible failures, imprisonment, etc.

Maraca, letters .: killer

If favorable planets are involved, then the conclusion may relate to cases where a person does not leave the house, writing a book,
meditating or other favorable types of conclusion. It is necessary to carefully study the nature of the planet, the signs involved in this yoga.

 If the planet forming argala is hostile to the house / planet in question, it will prevent the same from reaching its goal by showing
different directions. This does not apply to a special argale in the third house, where the presence of only destructive planets
creates argale.

For example, in Figure 1, the argala Rahu on Jupiter is considered evil because of the natural hostile position of these two planets. Being in
the fourth house, this argala gave instruction in an English secondary public school and tried to keep a person away from traditional teaching
or value systems (Jupiter). Since argale was equally hindered by Ketu (esoteric teaching, astrology 3 , ganite, etc.), traditional learning
continued through informal methods, such as studying Vedic astrology, etc. Since both are equally strong, both passed
simultaneously. However, Jupiter created a balance in favor of Ketu and the one who was born finally took the long road to jyotish.

3
If Ketu and Jupiter are associated with Lagna or Swamsha, then the born has a traditional education like Ganita, Jyotish, etc.
 The special argal of the third house gives success in battles and competition, while the argal of the seventh house can be a great
blessing, such as a loving spouse or curse, like a spineless wife.
