I. Learning Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:

A. Recognize the characteristics of abbreviations and acronyms.


B. List the different types of abbreviations
C. Use and produce abbreviations and acronyms.

DAILY ROUTINE

1. Prayer
2. Greetings of the students to the teachers
3. Checking Attendance
4. Checking of room condition
Motivation
 Invite students to reflect on a time that they have sent a message or have seen
someone else a message. How is the language different from an essay that they
would write in school? If it doesn’t arise in the discussion, ask whether they have
noticed any abbreviations.

 Tell the students that they will be learning how to recognize and use
abbreviations and acronyms. Abbreviations and acronyms are similar, yet
different from language that is used in a message.

II. Procedure

A. Presentation

B. Lesson Proper

 Teacher will discuss about Abbreviations


 Students will listen and understand what the teacher taught them.
 Provide examples so that students will have an idea about the lesson.
 They may ask questions about the lesson and will re- discuss again the
topic that the student can’t understand.
 Give some exercises to enhance the students learning.
 After the lesson finished, give a recap about the lesson to the students.

C. Evaluation

Asked again the students about the lesson…

 What is Abbreviations?
 Is Abbreviation and Acronym are the same or not?
 Give me examples of Abbreviations or Acronym that you know?
 Give me Word then we will translate it to acronym or abbreviations.

D. Activity
 The teacher will provide worksheet to the student.
