    FACULTY RECRUITMENT
    Applications are invited from qualified Indian Nationals for faculty positions. Candidates with Ph.D
    from a reputed institution in India or abroad, commitment to teaching with research papers in indexed
    journals and track record of attracting grants may apply.
    Applications in two sets in the prescribed form along with additional information on academic and
    research achievements supporting your candidature should be sent to the Principal, NIE,
    Manandavadi Road, Mysuru-570008 on or before 29.05.2019. In addition to the application,
    Google form should be submitted online.

    In-service candidates who meet the qualification requirements may apply afresh.

    Scale of pay is according to AICTE norms and NIE rules.


    Professor: Must possess
    BE / B.Tech and ME/M.Tech in relevant branch with First Class or equivalent and Ph.D or equivalent
    in appropriate discipline from a reputed institution in India or abroad. Publications in indexed journals
    with high citation index, demonstrated expertise with significant consulting practice and track record in
    attracting national and international grants and guiding Ph.D students is essential. Research
    experience aligned to NIE focus areas is an advantage. Minimum of 10 years experience in teaching /
    research / industry of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Associate Professor.
    Age: Below forty eight years preferred. Exceptional candidates have no age bar.
    Associate Professor: Must possess
    BE / B.Tech and ME/M.Tech in relevant branch with First Class or equivalent and Ph.D or equivalent
    in appropriate discipline from a reputed institution in India or abroad. Publications in indexed journals
    with high citation index, demonstrated expertise with significant consulting practice and track record in
    attracting national and international grants and guiding Ph.D students is essential. Research
    experience aligned to NIE focus areas is an advantage. Minimum of 5 years experience in teaching /
    research / industry.
    Age: Candidates below forty years are preferred. Relaxation of 5 years for exceptional
    candidates.
    Assistant Professor: Must possess
    BE / B.Tech and ME/M.Tech in relevant branch with First Class or equivalent. Ph.D from a reputed
    Institution in India or abroad is essential. Publications in indexed journals with high citation index, and
    winning a significant industry consulting contract or a national research is one of the requirements.
    Age: Must not have attained the age of thirty five years

    Assistant Professor: Must possess


    Must have First Class B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree or equivalent and Ph.D from a reputed institution in
    India or abroad is essential. Publications in indexed journals with high citation index are highly
    desirable. Eligibility in NET or SLET is highly desirable.
    Age: Must not have attained the age of thirty five years
