Term Definition in My Own Words Sport/Skill-Specific Exercise

This document contains responses to questions about skill-related fitness. In the first response, it explains that athletes need skill-related fitness like speed, agility, and balance in order to master their sport and compete at the highest level. The second response notes that others besides athletes can also benefit from skill-related fitness to enjoy recreational activities and stay fit. The third response argues that skill-related fitness can also be a component of health-related fitness since exercises that improve skills can also improve cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength and endurance, and flexibility while reducing body fat.
