    Education has always been a powerful agency in any society and it is


    considered as an indispensable instrument for bringing positive
    change in the social, political, economic and cultural life of people.
    Teachers must learn to collaborate, innovate and reflect and that’s
    where professional development comes to play.
    Learn, unlearn & relearn is the only pathway to be a successful &
    outstanding teacher. In this regard, RPS & C, Bahawalpur has always
    believed in the notion that Teaching quality matters. In fact, it is the
    most important factor influencing student achievement.
    Modern society demands high quality teaching and learning from
    teachers. Teachers have to possess a great deal of knowledge and
    skills with regard to both teaching and assessment practices in order
    to meet the true demands and standards of quality education.
    The whole process is shaped by many important agents, and the
    teacher is one of them. The teacher is claimed to play a central role in
    education. Preparing teachers for the teaching profession is
    conceived to be of a higher precedence in any country since this
    profession is considered as being challenging and critical, and may
    lead to nations’ rising and progress in several domains. As a huge
    agency, education has great importance in building strong and
    developed societies, and the teacher is one of the primary agents for
    achieving that. For such reasons, it is always an urgent educational
    need that teachers should receive adequate educational and
    professional training to possess suitable knowledge and teaching
    skills and to be able to dedicate themselves to the teaching
    profession.
    Teachers provided with proper training on up-to-date information
    and new research on classroom management, on emerging
    technology tools for the classroom, new curriculum resources, and
    more, could become a successful factor to their schools. The best
    professional development is ongoing and collaborative .Its something
    derived from working with students for better outcomes.
    It is important to understand that teaching is an evolving skill
    because a good teacher like a good student keeps on learning within
    the framework of information. Teaching and learning go hand in hand
    & teaching is truly lifelong which makes it important for schools to
    invest immensely in professional development of staff.
    Lets move towards the formal start of today’s workshop.
