VAWC What is VAWC?
-Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act R.A 9262 1. Physical-include bodily or physical harm 2. Sexual Violence-Refers to an act which is sexual in nature, committed against a woman or her child 3. Psychological violence – refers to acts or omissions causing or likely to cause mental or emotional suffering of the victim 4. Economic Abuse – refers to acts that make or attempt to make a woman financially dependent
BPO-Barangay Protection Order- with-in 15 days
- Shall follow the rules on venue under section 409 TPO- Temporary Protection Order-30 days PPO-Permanent Protection Order-refers to protection order issued by the court after notice and hearing. - TPO and PPO maybe filed in the regional trial court - Brgy officials and court personnel shall assist applicants in the preparation of application HOW to apply a Protection Order must be in writing, signed and verified under the oath by the applicant - It may be filed as an independent action or as an incidental relief in any civil or criminal case the subject mattes or issues.
