    TURBINE ASSEMBLY – DESCRIPTION AND OPRATION

    1. General

    The engine comprises two mechanically independent turbines: a compressor turbine designed to drive the
    compressor and engine accessories and a free (power) turbine intended to drive the helicopters rotors via
    the rotor drive system and main gearbox as well as the accessories the main gearbox.
