1. In some program windows QPROG used a TRUETYPE font as default which gave problems when
the system character set was not Western Europe. In order to avoid this the default fonts used are
now not true type. This problem occurred in the Keyboard and System Texts Windows.
2. When the inventory fields were active in the PLU configuration QPROG would always change the
sign of the inventory to positive. Now the sign and decimal point are also displayed and sent back
correctly to the register.
3. It was not possible to put character with a code above 127 on the ASCII keyboard for text
programming. This has been solved.

1. Problems were reported using the Help System which is built in QPROG. The problems were not
displaying help in Windows versions other then 98 or not displaying help at all when the
QPROG.DOC file was opened and saved again with a different version of WORD.

PROBLEMS SOLVED:
1. When in the PLU configuration the option for “Extra Department Selection” was set QPROG would
not include it in the record size calculation. This could cause overwriting of the other fields when the
PLU was used on the register.
2. Editing the WLU (Window Look Up) file was not working correctly anymore in release 1.09. This was
caused by the changes made for the MACRO key codes.

PROBLEMS SOLVED:
1. When copying an application and CLEAR the PLU file QPROG wouldn’t copy the DEPARTMENT file.
2. When the NUMBER of Keyboards in the configuration was set to ONE instead of ZERO and the
program was installed in a register it was not possible to LOAD the program back from the register.
You would get a COMM ERROR on the keyboard file. When the NUMBER was set to ZERO or larger
then ONE there was no problem.
3. When using 2 PLU captions and the second one was smaller then the first one QPROG would also
use the size of the second one for the first caption.

NEW FEATURES:
1. This version supports the CR1000 and QMP3000 models. In the configuration menu you can select
the model. It is possible to convert from QMP3000 to CR1000 but the program will automatically
remove all functions which are not supported by the CR1000 and the changes cannot be undone!
Note that there is NO check on the model when installing the program in the register but when the
model doesn’t match the model as specified in the configuration the program will NOT work.
2. It is now possible to change the text, font, colors and/or bitmap of each individual key on the
keyboard.
3. You can store the keyboards in a separate file so it is possible to make standard keyboard which can
be reloaded. The keyboard is saved in a files with the extension “*.QKB”. In this file the keyboard
type, transaction keys, system keys, font, text and color for each key is stored.
4. The keyboard information for the application is stored in the file with extension “appname.Q57”.
5. Texts# 783 to 794 are used now.

NEW FEATURES:
1. In the COMMUNICATION menu a new option for Report Format has been added. It is now possible
to store the received reports in Text (CSV), Binary (QRB) or Text AND Binary format. This can be
used if you don’t want the end user to open and/or change the file using a text editor. In BINARY
mode QPROG will subtract ‘0’ (H’30’) from every character received before it is written to disk.
- The binary reports are stored in files with the extension “QRB”.
- When the option “Text AND Binary” is set QPROG will store the report in CSV format and
automatically create a BINARY file with the same name but extension QRB.
- When the option “Text AND Binary” is set QPROG will show all files with extension CSV and QRB
when you select the option to view a report. QPROG will automatically detect the file type when
opened for viewing.
- When the option “Text AND Binary” is set QPROG will automatically delete the QRB file when the
CSV file is selected.

PROBLEMS SOLVED:
1. QPROG would show the balance files in the File Edit Menu even when there was no information
stored.
2. When QPROG was set for CR1000 the macros with key code were not sent correctly and only the
first key code was working.

1. It is now possible to print the different files. In the EDIT FILE menu there is now a button PRINT.
QPROG will print the contents of the file on the selected printer.
- It uses a standard Font with Size 10. When the line doesn’t fit on the page it will use Font Size 8
instead.
- At the moment QPROG will always print the complete file. It is not possible to specify a range.
- When the line doesn’t fit on the page it is possible to change the Paper Orientation in the Print
Dialog.
- When in the Edit menu a column is resized so it is not show on the screen it is also NOT printed.
In this way it is possible to suppress a column on the printout.
- When the column with the CAPTION is EMPTY the complete line is not printed. In this way it is
possible to suppress not used functions.
- When using Random PLU codes QPROG will only print the used PLU.
2. When model is set as CR1000 it is now possible to activate KP in the Department and PLU
configuration menu.

1. A in QPROG 1.24 was reported which is caused by the Borland Libraries. Sometimes when editing
files QPROG will give message "List Index out of bounds". This has been corrected.

1. When using COM ports higher then 9 QPROG would give “ERROR OPENING COM PORT”” when
used under Windows 2000 or Windows XP. When using Windows 98 there was no problem. It was
caused by the Windows API which didn’t accept “COMxxx” as parameter but required “\\.\COMxxx”
instead for Windows 2000 and XP. After checking the documentation it seems that this was first
discovered in Windows 95 and corrected in Windows 98 but for some reason came back in the
versions after 98.
2. The default Text# 749 and 836 are changed from “QMP 1XXX” to “CR 1XXX”.

PROBLEMS SOLVED:
1. In the PARAMETER menu and HELP file PARAMETER 104 and 105 were switched. Parameter 104
is the TYPE and 105 is the PORT# of the TAP controller.
2. When running under Windows XP and a SYSTEM OPTION was changed by using the Mouse the
option in the next column was changed. This was caused by the Borland Display Library 4.0 in
combination with XP. After upgrading to release 6.0 this has been solved.

1. PLU Inventory Amount size re-activated for CR 1XXX Restaurant version. This field can be used to
specify the inventory quantity when SYSTEM OPTION 192 is SET.
2. Maximum number of Groups for the QMP3XXX series is increased to 255.

in the register.
PROBLEMS SOLVED:
1. When an application was read from the cash register using QPROG 1.29 the Graphic Logo’s were
not stored. This was caused by the upgrade of the development tool CBUILDER 4.0 to 6.0. The
handling of bitmap files was changed.

1. When another keyboard file was loaded with different key size you had to exit the keyboard
programming before the key size were adjusted.
2. When programming the QTouch Keyboard and a range of keys was cleared it was not possible to

3. When restoring a Memory Backup the QPROG wouldn’t send the INIT command so the Graphic Logo
was not initialized and the Configuration was not automatically stored in QTouch.

1. It is now possible to make a connection using Ethernet. At the moment only the QTouch model
supports the Ethernet connection. In order to open an ETHERNET connection you have to supply the
IP ADDRESS of the register and set the PORT to 9999 which is interpreted by QDRIVER as the
ETHERNET port. See also QMP_LAN.DOC for the settings of the cash register.

PROBLEMS SOLVED:
1. When changing the program configuration it could happen that QPROG didn’t update the
configuration correctly when the FILE configuration screen was not on top of the MAIN configuration
screen when closed. QPROG updated the configuration when it received the PAINT command from
Windows which was not issued in this case. This could result in wrong start addresses of the files in
the cash register memory. The problem was corrected the next time the configuration screen was
opened and closed with the OK button.

print the label for a range of selected PLU or for all PLU. The format of the printing is fixed and
the type of barcode used is CODE39 so don't forget to check if your scanner is set to accept
CODE39 codes and don't set SYSTEM OPTION 78 because the CODE39 has no check digit.
3. In order to avoid misunderstanding the option “External Logging” has been removed from PRINT
OPTION2 because this option has no use.

1. If the Parameter 174 (Salesperson) is set on 255, then will be set this parameter by sending to the
cash register get the value of the cr number (Parameter 53). By sending the configuration in a cash
register network, the value will be increase like the cr number, too.
SOLVED PROBLEMS
1. The communication via WAN (DynDNS) doesn´t work with the new communication dialog, the
problem was solved by avaluation the flags in the right way.
2. Any textes in the configuration panel would hide although the texts exist in the translation file. The
reason was that the texts had the wrong checking reference for hinding. – solved
3. For the 128 keyboard the the crop marker was lost, by the last update. Now they will print again.
4. The function key for programming mode can be reprogrammed on all keyboard level, then the
key will get the value of the last programming, but the value on the other keyboard level was not
showing in the correct way. Now it will be show on all level which value the function key has.
5. Keyboard Type 128 and 156 Flat couldn´t load and print any bitmaps on the keys now it is
possible again
6. Sometimes QProg interrupt with an out of memory error in the PLU programming. The problem
couln´t exact analyze but the memory handling by the handling with the PLU data has been
revised. That should bring an improvement.
7. The handling with the keyboard-level for the QRC file generating has been revised.

1. The backup routines are new implemented, because the using windows routines don´t works
correct.
2. The device manager set the internal printer to zero, although they don´t use a external serial port.
This is fixed, internal printer keep their settings.
3. Handling of the keyboard-level going wrong, so it is fixed on the 36 key type only. For the other
keyboard types it will handle on the old way.
