I. Background Information

Title: SEMINAR ON SEXUAL SENSITIVITY AND WORK ETHICS


Participants Profile
The participants of this seminar are the Grade 12 students who
are composed of 20 females and 17 males. These students are officially
enrolled on this School Year 2019 – 2020.
Competency being Developed Students learn in a child-friendly, gender-sensitive, safe, and
motivating environment (retrieved from

Background The Department of Education (DepEd) issued a gender-
responsive basic education policy (DepEd Order No. 32, s. 2017) that
commits to integrate the principles of gender equality, gender equity,
gender sensitivity, non-discrimination and human rights in the provision
and governance of basic education. Through this, Semong national
high school fortifies its commitment to disseminate to the Grade 12
Students on their basic rights in relation to sexual sensitivity and
Enforcement and compliance in relation with RA 9710.
Rationale and Description This is School based seminar which primarily focused on sexual
sensitivity among grade 12 students. They are on focus on this seminar
because they are to be deployed on various places in connection of their
On-the-Job Training under the Senior High School Curriculum. This will
be of beneficial for them to be fully informed of their rights as they take
on the workplace. Moreover, the speakers invited on this seminar will be
coming from the MSWD and PNP – Kapalong.

II. Terminal and Enabling Objectives The purpose of this sexual sensitivity seminar is to further disseminate
information, policies, and guidelines in relation to D.O. No. 32, s.2017 and
R.A. 9710.
Specifically, the objectives are the following:
1. Discuss the importance of sexual sensitivity;
2. Increase gender awareness and sexual sensitivity in school and
the field of work:
