    S.R.O. No. …........./2019. - In exercise of the powers conferred by section 254 read with
    235 AB of the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 (13 of 1994), the Government of Kerala hereby
    make the following rules further to amend the Kerala Panchayat Building (Regularisation of
    Unauthorised Construction) Rules, 2018, issued under G.O.(P)No.12/2018/LSGD. dated 15 th

    dated 20th February, 2018, namely:-

    RULES

    1.Short title and commencement .— (1) These rules may be called the Kerala Panchayat
    Building (Regularisation of Unauthorised Construction) Amendment Rules, 2019.

    (2) They shall be deemed to have come in to force on the 20 th day of February, 2018.

    2.Amendment of the rules.- In the Kerala Panchayat Building (Regularisation of


    Unauthorised Construction) Rules, 2018, in rule 3, in sub-rule (1), for the figures “405”, the
    figures “588” shall be substituted.

    Explanatory Note

    (This does not form part of the notification, but is intended to indicate its general
    purport.)

    As per sub-rule (1) of rule 3 of the Kerala Panchayat Building (Regularisation of


    Unauthorised Construction) Rules, 2018 issued under G.O.(P) No.12/2018/LSGD. dated 15 th
    February, 2018 and published as S.R.O. No.96/2018 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary
    No.408 dated 20th February, 2018, the time-limit for filing the application for regularisation of
    unauthorised construction had been 90 days. As per notification issued under
    G.O.(P)No.48/2018/LSGD. dated 20th June, 2018 and published as S.R.O. No.423/2018 in the
    Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No.1662 dated 22nd June, 2018, the said time limit had been
    extended to 270 days. As per notification issued under G.O.(P)No.88/2018/LSGD. dated 30 th
    November, 2018 and published as S.R.O. No.866/2018 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary
    No.3055 dated 4th December, 2018, the said time limit had been further extended to 405 days.
    The said time-limit expired on 31st March, 2019. Government have, therefore, decided to extend
    the said time-limit up to 30th March, 2019. Government have, therefore, decided to extend the
    said time-limit up to 30th September, 2019 so as to provide an opportunity to those who could not
    file application in time.

    The notification is intended to achieve the above object.
