Special Instruction
Inhalation : Move to fresh air immediately. Maintain airway and blood pressure and
administer oxygen if available. Keep affected person warm and at rest.
Treat symptomatically and supportively. Administration of oxygen should
be performed by qualified personnel. Get medical attention immediately.
Skin contact : Remove contaminated clothing and shoes immediately. Wash affected
area with soap or mild detergent and large amounts of water until no

evidence of chemical remains (approximately 15-20 minutes). If swelling,
redness, blistering or irritation occurs seek medical attention immediately.
Eye contact : Wash eyes immediately with large amounts of water or normal saline,
with eyelids held open, until no evidence of chemical
remains(approximately 15-20 minutes). Get medical attention immediate

Information to doctor or : The signs and symptoms of poisoning with Seruni are not very
other Trains persons pronounced and are likely to consist of hypersensitivity type reactions.
giving first aid There is no specific antidote to Cypermethrin. Symptomatic and
supportive treatment is indicated.
Ingestion : remove by giving syrup of Ipecac (if vomiting occurs, keep the head
below the hips to prevent aspiration). Give activated charcoal followed by
gastric lavage. Follow with a saline cathartic. Do not give fats or oils. Give
artificial respiration with oxygen if respiration is depressed. Treat
symptomatically and supportively. Lavage and administration of oxygen
should be performed by qualified medical personnel. Get medical
attention immediately.

6. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES

Suitable extinguishing : Extinguish fire with water fog, foam, carbon dioxide, dry chemical powder
media and prevent runoff from entering drains.
Unsuitable extinguishing : Do not scatter spilled material with high pressure water jets
media
Special exposure hazard : As for all organic materials, combustion may lead to hazardous oxides
in a fire of carbon an other toxic fumes
Special protective equip: : Full protective clothing including breathing apparatus and protective
for fire-fighting gloves should be worn.
Other instruction : The product is a flammable liquid. Decomposes on heating emitting toxic
vapour/fumes. Fire fighters to wear self-contained breathing apparatus if
risk of exposure to vapour or products of combustion.

5. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

Personal precautions : Slippery when spilt. Avoid accidents, clean up immediately. Wear
protective equipment to prevent skin and eye contamination and
inhalation of vapours.
Environmental : For larger spills wet down with water and dike for later disposal.
precautions Disposal must be in accordance with applicable to generators of
hazardous waste. Increase ventilation. Contain using sand and earth and
prevent run off into drains or waterways.
Methods for cleaning up : Wash area down with detergent and excess water. Ensure that washings
are prevented from entering any surface water drains. If contamination of
sewers or waterways has occurred advise the local emergency services.

Sensibility to humidity, container. Store in original container, tightly closed in a safe, cool, dry,
light & oxidation well-ventilated, secure area out of reach of children and animals.
Special storage : Keep away from food, drink and animal feeding stuffs. Keep out of the
requirements reach children. Keep container in well ventilated place. Maintain a well
ventilated storage area which is relatively free from temperature
fluctuations. Low temperature does not determine a product
deterioration but, rather complete solidification. Thus a possible
separation or segregation of various isomers.
Shelf life : Will keep their physical & biological properties for minimum 2 years
when stored in their original packing in a dry place at an annual
average temperature not exceeding 250C.

with gases (class 2), spontaneously combustible substances (class 4.2), oxidising agents (class 5) or foodstuffs.
The product is a Scheduled Poison (S5) and must therefore be stored,

8. EXPOSURE CONTROL/PERSONAL PROTECTION

Limits values for air in : The recommended hygiene standard is the time weighted average
working place none concentration of the work atmosphere for a normal 8-hour work day and a
established 40-hour work week, to which nearly all workers can be repeatedly
exposed day after day without adverse effect.
Respiratory protection : Wear mask filter for organic vapors. Provide adequate local exhaust or
process enclosure ventilation.
