    “Upgraded Presentations”

    Grade 9 – ENGLISH is known as Anglo-American Literature or Old English

    Literature. As such, the subject requires various presentations of different types of plays.

    The Grade 9 students are, most of the time, tasked to present role plays and differentiated

    tasks.

    The generation of today is very much inclined to multi-media so as much as

    possible, students are given the chance to present using gadgets and different educational

    websites. Instead of simple plays, they are allowed to present musical plays.

    For Grade 10 (World Literature), simple group presentations are upgraded by

    adapting different strategies like gallery walk and music videos.

    Face-A-Book”
    Originally created by Dr. Maria Leticia Jose C. Basilan, Face-A-Book still plays a big

    part in the teaching of English. The use of this account (exclusively for Technites) provides

    an alternative outlet for students to engage themselves with. Instead of posting

    educational outputs in their Facebook accounts, students are encouraged to post these in

    Face-A-Book where other Technites can react and comment on their work.

    “Provisions of Video Clips for Better Understanding of Lengthy Text”

    The students’ attention span is quite shorter now. In addition, they prefer watching

    than reading BUT reading is an integral part of their learning so watching videos is only

    used as reinforcement and sort of motivation as well. They are rewarded with film viewing

    of the literary they read.

    “The ENGLISH Speaking Card 2.0”


    English is a skill. Regular use of the language is the main key toward the

    attainment of fluency in English. Students are therefore required to speak in pure English

    through the ENGLISH speaking card. This class program is designed to: enhance language

    proficiency; and minimize noise inside the class. A card is provided and given to the

    violators and the card holder at the end of the day will receive the punishment which is

    either additional task about the subject or service within the class.

    This year, it has been upgraded to English Speaking Card 2.0. The card was made

    available by group.

    “The EXIT Pass”


    Classroom management is an integral part as well of the teaching-learning

    process. Aside from the English-speaking card, an Exit pass is provided to control constant

    excuses of the students in going out of the room.

    “The Availability of the Reading Corner”


    Every child/student must have an access to reading thus the advisers provide their

    rooms with Reading Corners where students can read, learn and of course, enjoy inside the

    room. The reading corners are also vital in the success of the Drop Everything and Read

    Program of the school. The said Program allows students to read anytime and every time

    they hear the reading time bell/signal.
