SCHOOL OF PHOTOGRAPHY

INTRODUCTION:
Photography, like all other forms of art is rather complex. Although technology has
bestowed in the hands of man, state of the art cameras lenses and other devices, it is
still a mystery as to what it is that makes art out of photography
It is a vocation, requires a certain skill set, is based on apprenticeship and has an
intuitive dimension which cannot be denied.
Learning and mastering the art is not an easy task and can’t be achieved in the four
walls of a conventional classroom.

AIM:
The aim is to design a SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE using the principle of ORGANIC
ARCHITECTURE.

OBJECTIVE:
• To choose an isolated zone of area, away from the chaos of the city, where the
weather, nature and dust free environment would create and appropriate ambience
for the photography studies. To provide residential and academic facilities for the
students from far and near, to accommodate both long and short term courses.
• To create interaction zones in order enhance exchange of ideas and views, to make
storage spaces for records and equipment and place areas for natural photography.
• To design an environment where students can feel, get a hang of the techniques,
use the equipment and while doing all this, can interact, exchange ideas, pose and
also connect with their inner selves.
• An effort has been made to consciously keep in mind the environmental, social,
behavioral and aesthetic aspects of the built form and also to learn how space plays
a key role in enhancing the creative pursuits of the restless mind and realizing
