This method statement explains the procedure of ductworks,


including the duct installation, insulation, fixing of ducts accessories
and duct leakage testing( Light Test)

3 General specifcation for HVAC System
4 Material Submission for HVAC Equipment/ Materials

3 Responsibilities
1 Mechanical /HVAC Engineer

He shall be overall responsable for the complete activity including,


but not limited to:

1 Assingning workman crew


2 Sequence of activites to be carried out for the work as per this
method statement
3 Stage inspection & surveillance
4 Notification to client engineer for inspection and daily
commissioning activites.
5 Provide day to day guidance and delegate Works as necessary.

6 Ensure that the equipment and tolos required for carrying out the
test are available, maintainedand used in safe manner.

7 Produce all necessary records for the confirmation of testing


Works completed and pass to QC inspector as required.

Mechanical/HVAC Supervisor

He shall overall responsable for the activity including, but not limited
to:

8 Assinging workman crew .


9 Sequence of activities to be carried out fot thework.
10 Ensure that the quality levels are maintained.
11 Ensure that the equipment and tolos required for carrying out the
test are available, maintained and used in safe manner.

5 QA/QC Inspector
12 Maintain records of quality control sheets/ report formats for
the site Test and inspection.
13 Carry out surveillance so as to ensure that the personel are
working accordance with the approved standards.
14 Assurances of approved methods are being are being used for
testing and material receipt inspection.
15 Verification of material approval and vendor certification.

4 Control Measures
1 Ensure availability of latest releases for construction drawings and
specifcations.
2 Ensure availabilty of latest released for construction drawings and
specification.
3 Ensure the tolos/ equipmentused for testing & commisioning
purpose is calibrated and certificates available.

4 All equipment and accesories have been certified for their capacity
and integrity
5 Safety and risk assessment shall be performed for every job or
task, which has potential for harm.
6All personnel are issued with personal Protective Equipmnent with
FRC.

5 Sequence of Activities
Handling and storage of ducts
1 unload the duct by hand / loader and store the duct inside the
Respective buildings and workshop area.
