I. Objectives:
At the end of a 60-minute discussion students are expected to:
a. define informative speech;
b. identify the characteristics of an informative speech;
c. accomplish tasks by following instructions; and
d. value the importance of informative speech.

A. Customary Activities

1. Prayer
To start our day, may we hear a short prayer from (Meriam will lead a prayer.)

Good morning, Class! : Good morning, sir!

Before taking your seats, kindly fix your chairs and


pick up the scattered pieces of paper or candy
wrappers around you.

B. Review of the Previous Lesson

In selecting a topic of an informative speech, what


should you consider? : It is very important to select a topic, which is timely
and relevant, sir.
Precisely! Now, details deals with the proper selection
of data and appropriate illustrations or examples.

This time, let us have a recap about our topic today.

today by accomplishing different activities. Your
class will be divided into 3 groups. Start counting of

All one’s, stay on the right side. 2 on the left side and
3 at the back. Group 1 will be called Thailand, Group
2 will be Singapore and Group 3 will be the
Philippines. Is everything clear? : Yes, sir!

What did you observe from your given group names? : Sir, our group names are different countries in
This Activity is called “The Greatest Show.” ASIA.

included in the ASEAN region.

For further instructions, please read the following: : Each group will be given different tasks. Thailand
will be presenting a short skit, Singapore will write
a slogan and the Philippines will draw a simple
poster. Promote SINDUN BAYABO through your
skit, slogan and poster.

on the bond paper provided by the teacher.
