Forecasting:
Process of making prediction of the future based on past and present data and analysis
of trends.
Fashion Forecasting:
Fashion forecasting is a concept that relates to identifying upcoming trends. It focuses
on predicting and designing fashion based on elements such as colour, fabrics,
textures, accessories, graphics, and foot wear and so on.
Fashion forecasting covers industries other than clothing and footwear, which are,
food and beverages, literature, automobiles, medicine and home furnishings.
Trend Forecasting:
Trend forecasting is a complicated but useful way to look at past sales or market
growth, determine possible trends from that data and use the information to
extrapolate what could happen in the future. Marketing experts typically use trend
forecasting to help determine potential future sales growth. Many areas of a business
can use forecasting, and examining the concept as it relates to sales can help you gain
an understanding of this strategy.
Pantone Colour:
This is the company is best known for its Pantone Matching System (PMS). It is
universally used by many industries, including printing, graphic design, paint and the
make-up industry, amongst others.
Pantone colours are colour codes that stand for a specific shade. You can communicate
about colours by defining the pantone code. Basically, pantone is the standard
language for colours. Every year on the first days of December, The Pantone Colour
Institute announces the new Colour of the Year.
Fashion In 1930s?
The fashion of the thirties is usually overshadowed by the great depression, but the
1930s were full of glamour and style.
Colours:
Peach, rose pink, sky blue, sea green and sunny yellow were inn spring and summer.
In winter, chocolate brown, Grey, rust, black were inn.
Fashion In 1940s?
This era was mainly effected by the War and fashion was largely influenced by the
same. Clothes were made with a minimum of fabric, few pleats and no trimmings.
Skirts were a little below the knee and straight, worn with boxy jackets and broad,
padded shoulders. Many men and women wore uniforms.
Colours:
Clothes in the 1940s were very bright and colourful, like navy blue, sunshine yellow,
red, light green.
Fashion In 1950s?
In the 1950s the world had to deal with the post war destruction and rebuilding of
architecture from the German bombing.
