NECKLINES:
The neckline is the top edge of a garment that surrounds the neck,
especially from the front view.
Crew Neckline:
It is a round neckline which sits close to the neck, typically seen in t-shirts.  It usually ends above
the collarbone and usually has a band around it. It is not a suitable neckline for a stocky figure with
short neck, as it will make the  neck closed in, or a person with a very large bust or a person with
narrow shoulders. A person with thin long neck can look good in the neckline.
Jewel Neckline:
A slightly lower round neckline, this is a very most common neckline seen in  dresses, tops . Named
jewel neckline, because the neckline lies where a necklace is worn. It is confused with the crew neck
as it is almost similar.
Boat Neckline
This neckline is also called Bateau neckline. It is a wide neckline which almost reaches the shoulder line
and sits very close to the neck, high in front and back. It emphasizes the bust line so for most people this is
a flattering style. But for those who want to play down the bust do not choose this one. It is a good neck
design to choose with a pear shaped body ( and with a small bust).
Scoop Neckline
This is a deep U neckline which is wider than the base of the neck. It is suitable to almost all body
shapes, face shapes, depending on the depth of the neckline.
Keyhole neckline
This neckline has an opening just under the edge – either a circular one, oval one or a tear
shaped one.
Surplice neckline:
The type of neckline wraps and forms a V neckline.

COLLARS STYLES:
A collar is the part of a shirt, dress, coat or blouse that fastens around or frames the neck.
A collar is differentiated from other necklines such as revers and lapels. A collar may be
permanently attached to the main body of the garment (e.g. by stitching) or detachable.
Convertible Collar
A Revers collar is a notched collar with square corners on the collar as well as the lapel.
Mandarin Collar
This is a band collar – the collar has a cut in the center front with rounded or square corners.
Turtleneck Collar
A high close-fitting turnover collar.
Shawl Collar
A turned-over collar of a garment that combines with lapels forming an unbroken curving line.
Peter Pan Collar
The Peter Pan collar is a form of flat collar, one of the three basic collar types along with stand and
roll collars. It is cut to fit around the neckline, following the curve, and to lie flat upon the torso.

FASHION FORECASTING
Fashion forecasting is a global career that focuses on upcoming
trends. A fashion forecaster predicts the colors, fabrics,
textures, materials, prints, graphics, beauty/grooming,
accessories, footwear, street style, and other styles that will be
presented on the runway and in the stores for the upcoming
seasons.

Suits start to use cutout to add a feminine sense.

Cutout in the waist makes a visual dislocation to
form an X-shaped structure. Tabs or rhinestones

Forecasting of JEWELRY (2021)
1. Long Live Chain-Links:
Chain-links continue to rule in the jewelry space for Spring/Summer
2021, via sleek cables, oversized links, and gilded curb necklaces.

2. The New Pearl Earring:

Modernist pearl earrings are another trend with lasting power and all but
slowing down for Spring/Summer 2021. Ranging from asymmetric
designs to contemporary drops, Jason Wu, Altuzarra, Marni, and
ADEAM all proved the power of the pearl earring for spring.

3. Single Statement:
This is yet another drift that appeals, ranging from gleaming metals to raw
stones and ornate designs.

4. Regal Rhinestones:
For Spring/Summer 2021, a glittery sensibility prevails in the form of
rhinestones from dripping collar necklaces to fringe earrings and
heavyweight chains.
Forecasting FOOTWEAR (2021)
1. Not Your Standard Sandal:
Spring/Summer 2021 welcomes a flat sandal trend that’s not quite

as bare and minimalist as other slim-strapped versions. The

pillowy details step up an otherwise simple silhouette, adding an
appreciated dose of comfort and playfulness.
2. Leather Lace-Ups:
One footwear trend for Spring/Summer 2021 has all the utility
and ease of a sneaker. The same sneaker-like style was seen on
metallic shoes with small kitten heels. Consider it the ideal
balance of sport and street.
3. Strappy Stepped Up:
Khaite, JW Anderson, and Givenchy all presented a daring
upgrade from your average minimalist sandal with several straps
that divide the toes and toe box.
4. High Flatforms:
At Erdem, Altuzarra, and Ulla Johnson, soles have been elevated
to
daring heights in quirky, chunky sandals with raffia and wooden
heels.
